Figured he's earned a thread for you late night show watchers.
Just wrapped up his second week last night (2 short weeks to kick things off). What do you guys that have seen the show so far think?
He came out to very positive reviews his first week. Followed up with some great stuff this week, hosted the show from some random dude's house last night. Coming from a guy who loved the mad man that was Craig Ferguson, I really like what I've seen so far. He does some very different things for a talk show.
In case you haven't seen, instead of the typical one-on-one interviews, he instead...what I guess is standard in Britain, brings out all the guests at once and you have 2 or 3 people talking with Corden at once. It's nice as the guests and host can all feed off each other in a conference like setting instead of the typical one-on-one question and answer format. His monologues are also very unique. Instead of making jokes about the day's news like everyone else, he'll choose one thing to talk about, and kind of rolls off a 3 or 4 minute rant about it. At only 36 years old, he brings a very youthful presence to the late night circuit (something it desperately needed). He seems very humble about everything and like a genuinely nice and grateful person. A breath of fresh air for late night.
