The league where keeping Addai doesn't make sense (1 Viewer)

Addai's Adidas

I was just looking at last year's stats. Long time league that just added PPR for WR's last season. I see Addai is the 32nd ranked player of last season. I thought keeping him in a Keep 1 league was a no brainer. Wes Welker (another option) is ranked 11th for last season.

I understand the supply/demand VBD thing, but how does it make sense to keep Addai when he might have actually peaked and all of these guys ended up with more points than him?

Moss 361 points

Brady

Wayne R

Owens T

Fitzgerald L

Houshmandzadeh

Edwards B

Tomlinson L

Johnson C 271 points

Marshall B

Colston

Welker 262 points

Westbrook

Romo

Manning P

Holt

Witten

Gonzalez

Engram

Burress

Curtis

Favre

Mason

White R

Smith S

Anderson D

Brees D

Roethlisberger B

Peterson A

Gates A

Addai 208 Points

I look at that log jam of #2 Wr's in the middle and see VBD at play, but wow. 32nd? So what's the deal here? Keep the guy you think will get the most points (by far), or go with the VBD angle?

Your league is obviously heavy on WR scoring, so your best bet would be to keep your best WR. Who might that be?

On the other hand, since so many WR's score so many points, you know some of them will be available in Round 2. Go ahead and keep Addai and draft a high-scoring WR in Round 2 (and maybe in Round 3).

Isn't this what VBD says? Addai was the 4th RB overall. The number 5 & 6 are pretty close, but then they start dropping off sharply.

Yeah, he might have actually peaked in his second year, while missing a game, and playing injured all season. :kicksrock: In other news, it looks like LT, Westbrook, and Peterson were the only guys that finished ahead of Addai in his position. Unless you have a top-4 WR, I'm not sure why you wouldn't keep Addai.

Keep Addai and then hope you can draft Welker or CJ in the 2nd. There is some very deep PPR WR tiers. Go ahead and take the RB.
