The next Arian Foster has arrived (Buy Rod Smith right now) (1 Viewer)

So you're sayin' I ain't six years late to the party?

Yeah, this is how it goes. We all knew it was a swing in the dark, but, especially for those of us desperate at RB, it was worth taking a swing.

Next!

Haha - never got involved in that pissing match...

I'll direct your attention to your choice of the Spencer Ware, Glenn Winston, Jordan Todman, or Trey Williams threads. I think I'd give up on Smith before Trey, personally... still believe Trey looks like Dion Lewis.

Thanks

I couldn't agree with you more on Trey Williams. The kid certainly looks like he could be a weapon if utilized correctly, but he lacks the size to be a featured back. Like Dion Lewis, Williams shows tremendous agility and vision in traffic -- his jump cut is very similar to Dion's. Williams may lack Dion's ability to break tackles, however. Why the Cowboys have not tried to plug Williams into the Dunbar role or work him from the slot, I have no idea.

I am off to review each of those threads. If I recycle through enough lottery ticket types, perhaps I can fill the void in my roster.
Interestingly enough, Trey Williams is also on the Dallas team now ...

Smith is worth taking a flyer on. I have him paired up with Morris and hoping one of them stands out so I can play them week 11. Not interested in taking a chance on either of them this week until we see how it shakes out. From what I've read Smith is the back most similar to Zeke and has 3 down ability.

Trying to decide whether to play Smith or ASJ in my flex. ATL hemorrhages points to pass catching backs and Smith should see alot of the field with Alf Morris. For instance let's use a theoretical:

Offensive Snaps, Week 9

1-E.Elliott DAL RB -  62  93%

5-R.Smith DAL RB - 1 1%

46- A.Morris DAL RB - 1 1%

20- D.McFadden  DAL RB - Inactive

Let's assume Dallas has 60 Offensive snaps. Alf as the christened starter should get at least 60% of the snaps, right? Let's say he gets 36. The key is figuring out the Smith/McFadden dynamic...  If Smith can get 30%+ of the work, that's the key in terms of him being Tevin Coleman-like in his usage.

So about a 50/50 split on Thanksgiving. Wasn't able to watch the game, but stats looked decent. Any chance he sees an uptick in carries on Thursday?

I was a man two years ahead of my time.  JK.  Wow, what a game.  I bet there are top fantasy teams out there somewhere gettin eliminated today by the vaunted Rod Smith/Rex Burkhead combo that everyone knew would be the money maker back in September.

LOL. I do not miss FF one bit.
