The Official "I'm starting Patrick Crayton over....." (1 Viewer)

Picked him off of waiver wire this weekend, and I'm confident he will have some solid numbers this weekend. On my bench is Knox (don't trust Cutler) and Santana Moss. I think The Bears and Skins games will be low scoring. That leaves me with Crayton. I think the Pats/Bolts game will be a shootout and the Pats Pass D is awful. Without Floyd and Gates playing at less than 100% and the running game not very strong, I could see another 100+ yard and a TD type game for Crayton.

Thoughts on Crayton this week? :)

Good analysis.

Yes I am starting Crayton as well in the flex position over M. Bush (can't get a clear read on McFadden's status), J. Forsett (fear the Beast), A. Armstrong (too early) and K. Britt (who needs the drama).

Well he is available and I am thinking of picking him up and starting him over both Mike Williams. But I am really struggling as I think all 3 are good and especially good in PPR.

I have a slight hesitation in that we only have a one game sample and I usually get burnt by that. Both Mike Williams are pretty much the focus of passing game for their teams almost guaranteed.

Maybe starting him over Beanie Wells. I want to make sure that Floyd is ruled out before I commit to playing him.

If Antonio Gates turns out to be a game-time scratch, does that help or hurt Crayton? He might be the go-to receiver then, but he'd also have no one to pull coverage away from him.

I'm starting him over MSW and Dez Bryant, so my choice is easy. But don't dismiss the awfulness that is the two pass D's that will be patrolling Soldier Field on Sunday.

The only reason no one is talking about how bad Washington's pass D is because of how bad Houston's is.

And BMW just went for 10/120 something against the Bears. They're 18th in the league against the pass and they just made Seattle look like a competent passing team last Sunday.

I wouldn't be shocked if all 3 of your options ranked in the top 15 this week.

Starting him over Spiller bc of this thread. He was on the ww in a phenoms league so I dropped Slaton for him (no brainer IMO).

LOoking for simple flex numbers and he has the one week situation to do it.

I don't think there is any doubt Floyd will not play...http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playerpag...NFL&id=3086

I'm not saying this guy will be a stud the rest of the year, I just think the match up is right for him this weekend. The Bolts are desperate for a win, and Rivers is going to have to air it out.

My projection - 120 + yards, TD... MONEY!!!!

I don't have him but I'm playing against him in one of my leagues. I have to admit you could do much worse that starting Crayton. I think he's a really solid #2 this week & could easily see 80 & a TD. It's setting up nice for him this week.

/Steve Smith Car,Danario Alexander

I won't trust Smith till he makes it through a game unscathed. I can't afford a zero.

I always thought Crayton was a bit of enigma. Talented but inconsistent. If nothing else, he's going to get numbers by the sure fire amount of targets he'll receive.

I see a 5 for 80 1 TD and I think that's the baseline here.

Pickied him up cos I own Floyd. Calvin on bye this week and I havent played Bowe yet. It's down to Crayton, GAffney or S Johnson. I am rolling with crayton based on the matchup and the fact that the Chargers throw a lot. Having FLoyd and Gates has been $$$$.

with Andre Johnson and Calvin Johnson on BYE and Malcom Floyd OUT, I'm starting both Craig Davis and Patrick Crayton this week regardless if Gates plays or not. My other options are Mike Thomas (NO thank you with Todd Bouman starting), Jason Avant (Not a bad option with Desean out), and I'm also starting Steve Smith CAR.

Same I'm going Buster Davis AND Crayton cuz of byes/injuries, along with Roddy White. I pretty much have no other options, 12 team league with pretty deep rosters. I'm also playing a guy who sucks this week and has his own bye week hell (his starting RB are Woodhead and Cadillac haha) so I figure one of Crayton and Davis will catch a td so if the two can combine for 15 points or so thats all I need from them.
