We had our league on a free site hosted by Yahoo/Geocities. The commish basically did what he had been doing by hand all along- weekly scoring, standings, etc AND a weekly recap/newsletter- only "now" he did it all on Wordpad. He would email it to me and I would copy/paste and reformat to fit on the site.

Then we moved to MFL. Yahoo/Geocities is gone. And with it the old site and all of it's info.

In the late 1990s, there was this site ... today we'd call it a blog, but back then it was just a website that was updated periodically with new entries. It was a sort of autobiographical story (probably fake) by a semi-literate guy living in a trailer with his grandpa after his parents kicked him out of the house for getting into legal trouble over drugs. The guy had to take care of his grandpa, including wiping his grandpa's butt, which was especially gross whenever his grandpa ate a lot of cheese. The guy misspelled a high percentage of words he used. The grandpa was a mean son-of-a-gun. His stories were actually kind of funny.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

I think it was linked to on slashdot every now and then.

I can't remember any names, and haven't been able to find it by googling.
