I'll admit I didn't foresee a 3-0 start to the season. But there's no question the Packers are playing well right now. As Favre said after the SD game it's hard to luck yourself into three straights in this league. The defense is playing well and Favre is playing at an MVP level. The return of Greg Jennings was huge this week as it gives the Packers more depth and talent at WR but also a receiver who can stretch defenses and make big plays downfield.
The primary concerns remain the lack of a running game and the overall youth of the team. With youth often comes mistakes and the inability to run the ball at a consistent level could become a more significant issue as the season goes along.
But through three weeks things are looking real good. Next up are the Vikings and this is a very winnable game. Minnesota has a standout run defense and a strong running game but its passing attack is pathetic. If the Packers sell out to stop the run like they did against Tomlinson they should put themselves in a position to win the game. The key is to continue to play error-free football because the Vikings are an aggressive defense which will force turnovers.
At 3-0, the Packers are an early season surprise story. Can they make it four straight in a place where Favre has historically struggled (though he's been better there in recent seasons)?
