The second to last football Sunday of the Year? (1 Viewer)

A lot of people look forward to this time of year, with the Superbowl and what not, but to others no football is a time of year they do not like. No fantasy football, no picking of games, no more tailgaiting, and no more simple excuses to hang out with your friends on a Sunday to escape the lady. LOL

With the season coming to a close and with the lockout lurking, what are people thinking about the end of the season?

I personally think they will get CBA resolved so that does not play in to the fact I hope these next 7 months fly by. It will really be the longest fall ever if there is no season, so cherish these games the next couple weeks.

Typically for me it's a welcome respite. Because of the site, we are generally knee deep in prep for the upcoming season by early March, so those few weeks in between the Super Bowl and planning for next year are a necessary time to decompress a bit. That said, today's NFL really never stops because we go from the Super Bowl to free agency and draft preparation. Now this year may be a bit different with the labor situation, but that remains to be seen.

For me, it's awful. Thankfully I do watch soccer and that goes on to May but goes on in the morning so doesn't help me escape responsibility :excited: . Summer is a bleak time when no sport I remotely care about is playing.

I wish the UFL would have been a spring or summer league rather than the fall. I might actually watch it.

This is a terrible time of the year unless your team is still alive in the SB hunt. Sports are awful this time of the year until March madness. After March, there is a little spike of sports interest with the NFL draft. After the draft, I have no sports interest until the NFL preseason. Fortunately, at that time, it is summer and there is lots to do outside.

It always gets more depressing as the playoffs continue. Less and less teams play each week and fantasy football ends prior to the regular season concluding.
