The St. Louis Rams offense (1 Viewer)

the greatest disappointment?

Okay, the Rams have been pitiful - 0 wins and lots of problems, injuries, offensive line troubles, hardly scoring any points = a complete disaster.

Is it time to start buying? I mean Bulger, Jackson, and Holt were all dropped in our league. Where do this guys rate from here on out? Top 20, top 10, heaven forbid top 5?

Realistically, it could very well be a right off year. Yet I think there is some value here from here on out. Bulger 10-12 sounds optimistic. Holt perhaps top 10 -15, and Jackson is the wildcard - perhaps a top 5 RB, is that a stretch?

They've got to turn it around sooner or later, don't they? I'm trying to get SJAX on my team now while his value is bottomed out. It can only get better... right?

IMO, the Rams are the team to keep an eye out for when playing D's on match-ups with the free agent pool. Look at the monster numbers Seattle just up against StL. A TD, 7 sacks, couple other turnovers. It was ugly. Jackson and Bulger returning this week brings hope, but I think Bulger will get killed behind the bad o-line.

its a sad season in STL. The D isnt that good, the rams cant run the ball and cant protect the QB. Out of this group, I only think Holt is worth something. Late in the games he will catch a lot of balls and gain decent yardage. Im just not counting a huge TD total.

I think you are right on with Holt, the 10-15 range sound right.

Sjax, might be a decent play. However, I would hate to be counting on #1RB numbers from him week to week.

Ironically they're going through a lot of the problems Seattle went through last year. Every year a team or two just gets absolutely nailed by injuries. 4 of their top 6 OL out, pro bowl offensive weapons hurt, etc... They're getting it a lot worse than any team I can remember. Miami is awful but they don't have the talent that StL has. It's hard to see them turning it around this season simply because there's no bodies available to help out on the line. jackson might make something out of nothing at times and maybe give Bulger a chance to do something. But even with an offense performing modestly (which is a huge upgtade from them now) there will still be lots of turnovers and sacks and big defensive plays against them. I don't see anyone getting into a shootout with them. I would think Holt has to stay in one of your top 3 WRs unless you got lucky with mid round guys.Bulger is a matchup play at best, maybe better after their bye week. But he rides the pine on my league until they show something. And if Jax is on your roster you have to play him. He can't be a worse choice than any of the other RB2s oout there. Wilkins doesn't even seem like a good play.

I love S Jackson's comments from a fantasy football perspective, yet the big question is, is he a crapshoot or a solid bet? He seems like a man on a mission to start scoring TD's again. He's a monster when everyone is healthy.

I mean c'mon the overall #2 pick. I would be thrilled if he just produced #2 RB numbers. I'm just not sold yet on the slightly torn groin, and all those over problems mentioned above.

Where does S Jackson rank from here on out? I understand his overall ranking #'s in the top 250 moving forward. And I can see him climbing the ladder as the season evolves, yet how high will he climb? Yes, it's like playing the stock market and every point counts. It's why we play the game.

Same question involves Holt.

Just as an FYI...

The Rams have lost yet another O'lineman in Claude Terrell.

They decided to release him because after a litany of problems with him - missing/late for meetings, bad attitude, back talking Linehan & the icing on the cake - he was arrested for assault on his wife. Seems this guy has had other recent arrests as this most recent one is an apparent violation of his parole.

I always felt that the "assault on wife" charge was always overrated, in terms of importance, for football players. That's a domestic issue. Plenty of productive football players, and good citizens in general, have wives that won't listen.

I hear ya Junior, but for this particular guy, the assualt on his wife was simply the straw that broke the camels back.
