Here is you chance to call your shots. Post three (no mas, por favor!) predictions for the upcoming season. Please keep your predictions related to individual player performances, and try to be specific. Preferably these will be against the grain predictions where your thinking is most likely in the minority. The following would be a good entry:1. Thomas Jones will lead all NFC rushers in yards per game2. Robert Ferguson will score more fantasy points than Javon Walker.3. Ron Dayne will score more than 8 TD's.This would be an example of a bad entry (of the too obvious or vague variety):1. Priest Holmes will lead the league in TD's.2. Tiki Barber will lead the league in fumbles.3. Ron Dayne will be fat and slow. There are alot of strong opinions on each side of each argument spread around this board. We'll bust this time capsule open at the end of the year and see who's a Nostradamus and who's a Nostra-dumb-a-s-s.So, without further ado, my three predictions for the 2004 season:1. Michael Vick will lead all quarterbacks in fantasy scoring this year, and will be a candidate for an early second round selection in next years draft (12 team leagues).2. Josh McCown will finish in the top 10 in quarterback scoring.3. Plaxico Burress will finish with over 1000 yards and 10 TD's

Okay, I'll play along...1. Shawn Alexander will finish as the #1 RB this season (by fantasy points).2. Michael Vick will NOT finish in the top 10 for QBs.3. Donte Stallworth will finish top 10 WR. :brush:

1) William Green will be out of football before the season is over2) Corey Dillon rushes for more yds than Priest Holmes3) Chad Johnson leads the NFL in receiving.

1. Q Morgan rebounds and lands in the top 12 WR's.2. T Hollings ends the year with more fantasy points than D Davis.3. Mark Campbell (Buf) finishes in as a top 12 TE.

1) Deuce McAllister leads the league in rushing.2) Andre Johnson ends the season in the top 5 of WRs in fantasy pts (1pt/10 yds recieved, 6pts/TD)3) Eddie George holds off Chris Brown for the starting RB position in Tennessee for the entire season.

1. Edgerrin James returns to the Top 3 Fantasy RB.2. Kurt Warner excels as the starting QB in NY and becomes a fantasy factor.3. Josh McCown ends the season as a Top 10 fantasy QB.

1) Emmitt Smith will average 2.4 yds per carry in limited action. 2) Michael Jenkins will lead all rookie WR's in yardage.3) Kellen Winslow will be a bum...errr... I mean bust in 2004 but will be drafted within the first 3 rounds in most leagues.Man...I feel all Nostradamus-ish. I think I'll start my own phone line kinda like miss Cleo.

Great idea! I'll save this for future reference.1. Kellen Winslow will come thru on his guarantee and catch more balls than Shockey did his rookie year (74) 2. Boldin and Fitzgerald will be the Top Reception duo in the league. (over Holt/Bruce, followed by Harisson/Wayne)3. Rudi Johnson will rush for more yards than Jamal Lewis.

1. Q Morgan rebounds and lands in the top 12 WR's.2. T Hollings ends the year with more fantasy points than D Davis.3. Mark Campbell (Buf) finishes in as a top 12 TE.
I love the first one.I love the second one even more! The third one is an absolute turd!

Heya there...can I play too?1. Joey Harrington will take the Lions into playoffs2. TO will not take the Eagles into playoffs3. Preist will win the League MVP honors. If I'm right, I'll be sure to bring this post up, if not, well who'll remember anyways....... ;)

1) San Diego's Antonio Gates will finish the season as the #1 TE in the NFL.

.

2) Tyrone Wheatley looks like the back he was at U of M, amassing 1,255 yards & 9 TDs.

3) Clinton Portis struggles mightily without the benefit of the huge cutback lanes he enjoyed in Denver's scheme. He spends a lot of time on the bench after taking a pounding running consistently between the tackles, he shows up on the injury report in 11 of 16 weeks, and he doesn't even crack the Top 20 RBs at the end of the year.

1. Lions will make it to the playoffs2. Eagles will not make it to the playoffs
Ooops, this thread was meant for individual predictions, not teams. Care to try again? (though your prediction of the Iggles not making the playoffs is bold!)

1. Lions will make it to the playoffs

2. Eagles will not make it to the playoffs
Excellent individual predictions!
Geez, hate to be corrected by a Raiderfan, I didn't see, well let me re-word what I meant.
It's a habit. You see, I used to be a hall monitor. In fact, I was once asked to find Millicent's cat "Pandora", and I ended up getting soot all over my new suit.

1. Lee Suggs breaks something b4 the season starts, misses entire year, Green explodes and Suggs is released in 2005.2. Jeff Garcia finishes top 5 QB3. The Oakland Raiders win ZERO games in 2004. :gang:

1 - McGahee takes the starting RB job from Henry before the end of the 2004 season.2 - Holmes doesn't get more than 20 TDs this year3 - Jimmy Smith is a top 10 FF WR this year

1) Carson Palmer actually plays well enough to get the Bengals into the playoffs.2) Roy Williams will usurp Rogers as the # 1 in Detroit - this year.3) Denny Green will pull McCown in favor of King after Arizona loses 4 in a row.

1.) Deuce McAllister will score more fantasy points than Priest Holmes. 2.) Tatum Bell will be Denver's #1 RB by the halfway point. 3.) Andre Johnson will outscore Santana Moss, Steve Smith, Derrick Mason, Joe Horn, Hines Ward, Darrell Jackson and Peerless Price. 4.) Minnesota will represent the NFC in the Super Bowl.

1...2...3......4 !?!?! Hey man, if he gets four predictions then I demand four as well!

Andre Johnson will outscore Santana Moss, Steve Smith, Derrick Mason, Joe Horn, Hines Ward, Darrell Jackson and Peerless Price. 4.) Minnesota will represent the NFC in the Super Bowl.
I like AJ too. No way in hell I'd consider him before Ward though. Ward is my number 5 guy. Everyone else ... yeah I can buy that. A whole lot of smurfs there.

1) Brett Favre will break into the Top 5 in FF points, while the Packers are winning the Superbowl and Favre earns the MVP honors.2) Priest Holmes will break the single season total TD record, again!3) Kevan Barlow will produce more FF points than D.McAllister and J.Lewis.

3. Rudi Johnson will rush for more yards than Jamal Lewis.
sorry, TL, but you've flipped your :censored: lid!mine:1-Jamal Lewis in fact LEADS the league in rushing--again2-Josh McCown...top 10, and ahead of Vick3-Either AZ or Det gets to the playoffs

1. Curtis Martin hits his 10th 1,000 yard season2. Eli Manning is starting for the Giants by week 103. Tom Brady is Super Bowl MVP for the third time in four years! :D :D :D

1. Dom Davis cracks top 5 in RB points2. Onterrio Smith leads all RB's in points for the second half of the season3. Carlson Palmer becomes a viable QB #1 option

I like the Andre Johnson and Alge Crumpler predictions already made, but since I was beaten to it, using my psychotic powers, these are the three I feel most likely will happen.1. Travis Henry has more than 1600 total yards and 8 TDS.2. Marc Bulger is the second highest scoring QB next to Culpepper.3. Kevin Jones scores the most TD's + fantasy points of all rookie RB's.

1) Kerry Collins is a top 10 QB in points per game2) Kevin Jones is this years' fantasy S.O.D.3) Jerry Porter is a top 10 WR

1) Marcus Robinson top 15 WR2) Pennington top 10 QB3) #1 overall fantasy player - Deuce McCallister

1) Brian Westbrook will finish the 2004 season as a Top 5 Fantasy Football RB.2) Andre Johnson will finish the 2004 seaspm as at Top 3 Fantasy Football WR.3) Michael Clayton will become the WR1 in Tampa Bay by week 5, and he'll finish as a top 20 Fantasy Football WR for the 2004 season.FIF :football:

Ricky Williams= Top 3 RBSantana Moss = This years Peerless Price, many people will figure him as a WR1 but he will be hit and miss, ending the year as WR25 or below.Plaxico Burress = Top 15 WR this year, while many on this board were pimping him last year and denying Hines Wards studliness, Burress will be the true value pick this year

1. Jimmy Smith top 10 wr2. LT2 finishes out of the top 5 in points for RB's3. The Afc North produces 3 RBs over 1500 yards rushing. (Rudi, Jamal and William Green)

I decided to post before reading too many, I don't want to be "corrupted" ;)

1. Kevin Dyson gets over 1000 yards and helps San Diego go .500 :bag:

1. Richie Anderson is the top FF RB in Dallas in PPR leagues.

2. Rex Grossman is NOT the starting QB for the Bears after midseason. Jonathan Quinn has mild success, somewhere around the #20 QB for the 2nd half, and Chicago has a QB controversy for 2005.

3. At the end of the year, TJ Duckett has us talking about his similarity to Shaun Alexander and puts up comparable stats.

4. Eric Johnson is the top receiver in SF, and helps them make the playoffs.

(how's that for going out on a limb? )

I'll play too, guys. The easier ones are all take at this point, so I'll reach DEEP into my bag of predictions to see if I can't hit the lottery:1. RB Steven Jackson, Rams tops 1,000 rushing/receiving yards and 8 TDs (combined) in his rookie campaign, filling in for an injured Faulk 3-4 games and spot-duty the rest of the season.2. WR Ashley Lelie blows up this year, topping 1,000 yards receiving and 8 TDs.3. Both RB Chris Brown, Titans and RB William Green, Browns top 1,000 yards rushing in 2004, even though neither may be the Week One starter for their respective teams.There. Predictions with BALLS, mmah boy! That's all that's left though after all the obvious/easy predictions are off the board.......

great thread suggestion :^)1) carson palmer doesn't skip a beat, looks like a three year veteran and plays more like chad pennington(with a rifle arm) than joey harrington, actually improves on kitna's totals from last season with a stronger and more accurate arm, avails himself of one of the best WR trios in the NFL(chad johnson is the man, leading all afc receivers in yards & TD's), becomes a viable QB1 in 12 team leagues, and coupled with a stouter more experienced defense in marvin lewis' scheme, helps lead the Bengals to their first playoff appearance since a left handed QB from maryland was playing the pivot.2) bill parcells is vindicated this season for forgoing steven jackson to scoop up an extra first rounder in the losman trade, as thomas jones little brother rushes for 1,200+ yards, 40+ receptions for another 400+ yards & 8+ TD's... after marshall faulk retires after the 2005 season, jackson emerges as a star power/speed back hybrid for the rams, a faster, niftier ricky williams, and with his complete, well rounded game(blocks & catches willingly & ably) & hard charging running style, subsequently causes jerry jones & parcell's to secretly regret failing to make jackson a cowboy.3) moss plays through his plantar fascitis, and only sees a slight dip in production... instead of averaging the mind boggling 100 yards & 1 TD per game, he finishes with 1,400+ yards & 12+ TD's... that mostly due to the vikings getting back to their league-leading rushing attack(michael bennett gets 1,300+ yards), and culpepper being afforded a more diversified array of receiving weapons(headed by marcus robinson, and o. smith/mewelde moore could be terrific 3'rd down RB weapons)... i agree with funk that this is the year vikes get over the hump(added some nice pieces to the defensive puzzle getting strongest tackling CB in the league via free agency, and future superstar DE kenechi udeze and physical specimen LB dontarrius thomas, to achieve a semblance of team balance), & represent the nfc in the super bowl.* BONUS - boldin proves last year was not a fluke, & despite concerns that fitzgerald will vulture receptions, yards & TD's, he finishes as a top 10 WR, with about 10 less receptions and 100 less yards... but fitzgeralds presence helps deflect attention away from boldin & make it harder for teams to double team him... the outstanding duo(make that trio if bryant johnson's improved intensity & play is as good as advertised) & improved blocking from an O-Line denny green has put the fear of god into, and mccown weathers a rough initial few games, the cards actually sustain far more drives, ari jumps all the way from near 30 in scoring to between 10 & 15... and boldin ends up actually increasing his TD output, to 12+, finishing second among nfc WR's in that stat behind moss. fitzgerald doesn't quite replicate boldin's surreal production of last year for a rookie WR(he is really a sophomore whereas boldin was a junior)... in large part because boldin didn't have to play across from boldin last year(& won't any time soon until cloning is legalized :^), but flashes enough natural talent & WR ability to demonstrate he is also a big time, ascendant player... he finishes with the rare rookie WR feat of cracking the 1,000 yard plateau, about 80 receptions, and his great hops & his freakishly acrobatic/contortionist mid-air skills allow him to get in the end zone 9+ times. the cards don't have enough juice to overtake the rams & seahawks, and are still a year away, as they are a few defensive players & a RB away from a realistic playoff push.

1) Jake Delhomme finishes as a top 10 fantasy QB.2) Michael Bennett finishes in the top 10 RB's.3) Kevan Barlow doesn't make the top 20 :P

1. kevan barlow will be a top 5 rb.2. stallworth will take over as n.o no.1 wr.3. jax will finish with a better record than indy.

Brunell is a top 10 QBJ. Lewis gets hurt due to his focus on the court proceedings and not on conditioningLT2 busts and does not crack the top 15 RB's in yards over the season

1. Josh Brown is the top kicker2. Lee Suggs goes for 1000/83. I win my individual WCOFF league :P

1. Garrison Hearst holds onto the starting job in Denver for the whole season and rushes for 1300 yards and 10 TD's2. Brandon Lloyd is a top 15 receiver3. Ricky Williams fails to rush for more than 1000 yards.

Three all-rookie predictions:1) LaDainian Tomlinson falls out of the top 3 fantasy running backs, after the Chargers call on rookie Michael Turner as their goalline/short yardage back.2) The Cleveland Browns' starting halfback in week 16: Adim Echemandu. And, in keeping with Browns rookie back tradition, Echemandu rushes for 128 yards & 2 TDs against the Dolphins in the game.3) Roy Williams outperforms Larry Fitzgerald in their rookie seasons. But Reggie Williams is the top rookie WR.

1. Clinton Portis finishes the year as the #1 fantasy scoring RB by a large margin, becoming the unquestioned #1 overall pick in 99% of 2005 drafts.2. David Boston becomes a top five WR.3. Donovan McNabb finishes the year as the #1 QB.

Early Chris Brown redraft/survivor drafters will finish towards the bottom of their league.Ron Dayne ends the year with more fantasy points (FBG Scoring) than Thomas Jones.RKade/Matrix/Dman gets banned again.George Jefferson forgets to change back to his regular user name and posts in a non William Green man love thread.

1. Jamal Lewis will get injured and Musa Smith will have a decent year. 2. Marcus Robinson will have a good year in Washington and finish as a top 25 wide receiver. 3. Bryant Johnson will become the team's (ari) number 1 receiver before season's end. Decently bold, in my opinion. -BC

1 donte stallworth more fantasy points than owens. 2 julius jones will be rookie of year.3 mike vick will not be able to run as much so he will not be a top 10 qb.

1. With David Carr blossoming into a close to top tier starter, Andre Johnson will have a better fantasy year than Terrell Owens.2. After a dismal start, Joey Harrington will be Detroit's #2 QB by November. Mike McMahon's play making ability will prove to be a better compliment to their offensive attack and the 2005 off-season will be punctuated by "which team can revive Harrington's career?" threads...3. The Stephen Davis/DeShaun Foster combo falls on tough times as a revamped O-Line in addition to an attempt to lessen Davis' workload backfires. The duo averages less than 4 YPC and totals less than 1400 yards.
