I believe SOS has a lot to do with things. Let's face it, GB - with pretty much the same talent package went 8-8 one year and 13-3 the next. Why? Because they were lucky enough to get the AFCW last year. [Yes, there are other reasons, so save it "that's not the only reason!" guy.]

Having said that, the AFC North plays the AFC South and NFC South. Other than ATL, there are no push-overs there.

This is my one and only prediction for the year (I think): The winner of this division will go 8-8 tops.

Other than that. No idea. The last team I bet on to go to the Super Bowl was the Miami Dolfins like 4-5 years ago. I couldn't have cursed that team more if I'd blown up the team plane mid-flight.

Green Bay faced an exactly league average schedule last year. Detroit played one of the hardest schedules in the league. Chicago played a hard schedule, too, and Minnesota played a harder than average schedule.Sure the NFCN played the AFC West last year, but they also played the NFC East, the best division in football in 2007.Green Bay was a much different team in 2007 than in 2006. They were a much better one.

If it turns out that either the Packers or Vikings have an NFL-caliber quarterback on the roster (and I have no idea if they do), then either team (or both) can make the playoffs. Those teams are stacked with talent everywhere else (edge to Vikes on D, Pack on O).

Certainly one of them will make the playoffs. That's a given in my book. But they may very well make the playoffs at 8-8.

You sure need a lot of things spelled out for you, don't you. Are you REALLY this dense??? Let me spell it out for you moron: What a waste of time having spell crap out for half-wits.

"Yes, there ARE reasons other than SOS for GB going from 8-8 to 13-3. That's NOT what the thread's about."

Mkay, genius??

God, even when I take steps to short-circuit the idiots, one of them still doesn't "get" it.

Not really. But I'd be interested in your choice to go above that and why.

Wow!!! I think you're at the wrong site.

as for the NFC North...

If MIN can get anything out of the QB position then they are my pick to win the NFC.

#1 MIN

#2 GB

#3 DET

#4 CHI
