These Things I'm convinced of (1 Viewer)

The NFC East is easily the most dominant division, top to bottom.Washington IMO is the 2nd best team, the Giants the 1st. Philly and Dallas would win most other divisions - probably any other division, other than the AFC South.
I wouldn't be so quick to write off the Cowboys as NFC East winners. They are certainly in the mix.Dallas is still winning despite themselves and are without any real weakness, other than over-confidence. Except for when they play the NY Giants, the Cowboys will probably be favored in every game they play this year as long as the core of their team stays healthy.Dallas has two stud running-backs, they have several solid wide-receivers, including Terrell Owens, and they have the best tight-end in the league. Their defense is a bit lax at times, but they have numerous play-makers on defense.Likewise, the NY Giants don't really have any glaring weakness either. Until someone knocks them off, I still believe they are the best team in the NFL. Even without Michael Straham and Osi, their defensive front-4 is dominating the line of scrimmage, and that means less pressure is put on their secondary, which if anything, is their only weakness. On the offensive side of the ball, New York has a trio of running-backs that could start for them, Plexico Burress is exceptional and Amani Toomer provides a veteran pressence; and Eli Manning is a different quarterback since he won the Super Bowl. The Redskins are solid, but the primary reason they are winning are because they are not turning the ball over. Granted, that is a hallmark of a good team, but any NFL team that doesn't turn the ball over will be competitive week-in and week-out.Also, from the way the media and fans are talking, you would think the Redskins went to Dallas a it was a blow-out. Not true. Dallas had a legitimate chance to win that game and failed. Again, I'm not saying the Redskins are a bad team, quite the opposite, they have been suprisingly strong team this year. However, if you were to honestly rank the three teams, I believe you would have to put New York first, Dallas second and the Redskins third. As much as you might want to argue if A beats B and B beat C then C will lose to A, the NFL isn't that black-and-white.

By the time the dust settles in January, the Redskins will be fourth in that division.

Cowboys and Giants 1 and 2. The 'skins could finish ahead of the Eagles, but I'd bet against it happening.

 They're 2-1 in the division after 3 road games.
A team undefeated in their division 6-0 and winless in non-conference is 6 - 10.A team winless in their division 0 - 6 and undefeated in non-conference is 10 - 6.

The latter will win the division.
:lmao: A very compelling argument. Consider me convinced that the Redskins will be 4th in the division.

Good thing they're 2-0 outside the division. With St. Louis, Cleveland, and Detroit coming up. You're right, I see it. They may not end up winning the division, but this is easily a 10+ win team.

I'm simply saying that New York is 4-0, Washington is 4-1, Dallas is 4-1. It doesn't matter a whole lot that Washington is 2-1 in the division, as overall record determines the division champion. If Washington is 10-6 at the end of the year and one of the other teams is 11-5, they could have dominated the division matches, and will still lose the division.

I do believe the comment about them being 2-1 in the division after three road games was a comment meant to show just how strong a team they are in general, not an arguement for division supremacy.

We'll see about the Skins after the next two games. They should crush the Rams...but often-times in the past few years Washington has played down to the level of their opponents. The Browns are a better team that has played poorly, and could well get really up for a game against Washington. If the Skins beat both of them (and of course they should) then they should easily surpass double-digits in wins.

Any of the NFC East teams can still win 10+ games. The Giants schedule turns harder, while Philly gets some creampuffs coming up too. The division is wide open, IMHO.

Yeah man, I get it. I really do. Mathematically anything can happen. My point was that three of the toughest games all season on the Redskins schedule were the NFC East road games, and they went 2-1. To me that says they're a pretty good team and unlikely to finish last.

The Redskins are the best team in football.

Gotta disagree with this one, right now they're the second best team in their division, not to dis them at all but The Giants O-line is better and their offense is much deeper. Their defenses are close but if Osi were healthy the G-Men would have an edge there too. And they did beat the 'Skins already. I think right now the 'Skins are a good team in a hot streak,The Giants are a good team.
