The era with Drew Carey as host was great TV. The "scenes from a hat" was my favorite bits on the show.

Yep, Whose Line as been the inspiration for these Friday threads. It's still airing on the WB with Aisha Tyler as the host. Was watching one and wondered what the FFA would do with some of the games.

Is the new version as good as the old? I know some/most of the guys are still there, but I liked it with Drew; you knew the three main guys (Drew, Ryan, Colin) were friends outside of this and they were just having fun in front of a TV camera.

It is as good as the old, IMHO. Ryan, Collin and Wayne Brady are on every episode and then the 4th person varies... Jeff Ryan-Davis, Gary Anthony Williams (voice of Uncle Ruckus on Boondocks), Brad Sherwood, Heather Anne Campbell, Nyima Funk, Greg Proops, Keegan Michael-Key. Really it's a pretty strong group in the extra spot, Proops is probably the worst of the group and he's not bad. Jeff Ryan-Davis is really good, does songs with Brady as does Sherwood. And the main players have some good interaction with Aisha Tyler as the host. At first I didn't like them having a guest celeb in to join for a skit or two, but depending on the celeb some of them have been really good.
