Thinking of buying a 60's mustang (1 Viewer)

That 69 Fastback is sweet. My dream car is a 69 or 70 Mach 1. I'll probably never own one. But we can dream. The great thing about this era is very minimal electronics. So they arent terribly difficult to work on. I'm not a mechanic. But with a little reading and some tools its possible to do a lot of work on these cars on your own. Will it take you longer than a trained mechanic? Yes. But you are also learning while doing. Great father/son project.

Hope you find something cool.

My dream for the last 30+ years was to have a '68-'70 Chevelle. Thirty years ago, the prices were a lot more attainable. Today .... oooof. I doubt it will happen, but who knows.
Hey, my neighbor just got one, presumably for his own mid-life crisis. I didn't know he had bought it, but my wife came home from walking the dog and said she saw him driving it down our street...where it died and he had to pull over and try a few times before it started again. Sounds like so much fun!

AutoTrader Classics is pretty good - classics.autotrader.com - there are 59 out there right now from 64-69 under $40k : https://classics.autotrader.com/cla...k&price_max=40000&year_max=1969&year_min=1964

Personally, I love the 70 Mach I the best of that era, I think that thing is absolutely perfect since the first time I laid eyes on one back in the 70's.

I know it's insane but I love the living hell out of this thing. It's a '67 Country Squire 428 4-speed and I think it's the sexiest thing on the planet. . . I probably have issues.

Maaaaaaan I haven’t looked in a long time but those prices seem really reasonable. I need a bigger garage!

Due to the tech world slashing jobs etc. I will be pausing my mid life crises for a bit :drive:
