I love Genesis and the offshoots/artists from them. Was listening to this tune from Mike + The Mechanics "Silent Running" and wow, very powerful and really rings a bell nowdays.

While I like the two new guys on M + M, Paul Carrack and Paul Young were much better. So sad that Paul Young passed so suddenly of a fatal heart attack. His wife said he was doing well as evidenced by the videos you see in 1999 and 2000. They thought it was heartburn at first with his chest pains but turns out it was a massive heart attack due to others close to him say to his party lifestyle and not heeding drs warnings about his health. He died before the ambulance could get there.

I love his voice in Mea Culpa.

This is the last full live act I can find on youtube with Paul Young aboard. This was 10 months before he dies. :(

Oh now I remember Ace and Squeeze! I couldn't remember what group he sang How Long under as I knew it wasn't a Mechanic song.

The 80s was the best decade of music imo. You had everything from heavy metal to alternative to punk to soft rock to jazz--- I mean everything was in! It definitely was the best period to experience music in!
