God, friend. I'm sorry about that.We had a thread once about the best things people have picked up from this board. I believe tucking your undershirt into your boxers was the leader, and deservedly so.
I can't remember what the other leading contenders were other than the @Judge Smails chili recipe. I only remember that one because I missed the first thread about the undershirts and heard about it there, and it's a game-changer.God, friend. I'm sorry about that.

Awesome.
Woah. That's understandably awesome in my world; I hope in others.

Thanks to hear it, and no sweat. Wish you both well. The hard work and real love is in the day-to-day.Yeah. Marquee Moon is an all-time great.
And thanks, RA---she's hanging in there.
In honor of this thread, I'm now listening to the 3 albums (exluding live ones) Spotify has, in reverse order: Television (1992), Adventure (1978) and Marquee Moon (1977).
It's been too long.
Longtime fan. Anything I could say has probably been said a thousand times. In honor of this thread, I'm now listening to the 3 albums (exluding live ones) Spotify has, in reverse order: Television (1992), Adventure (1978) and Marquee Moon (1977).

Any reviews or thoughts are welcome and will be appreciated greatly.
Honestly not a huge fan of the other two albums - a bit uneven in my view. IMO they're a great band that just caught lightning in a bottle with MM, but couldn't come close thereafter. Not the first band to have that happened to them.In honor of this thread, I'm now listening to the 3 albums (exluding live ones) Spotify has, in reverse order: Television (1992), Adventure (1978) and Marquee Moon (1977).

Just stating for the record that I saw this tour as well, in the Philly suburbs.Doing the same thing as on Dec. 6, 2017. Listening to Television, more specifically, the new release of Rhino's Hi-Fidelity Marquee Moon on some Grado headphones with a Dragonfly DAC.
This record continues to amaze me.
So does this board.
Peace, everybody.
Was a tight toy night, streets are bright
The world looked so thin between my bones and skin
There stood another person who was a little surprised
To be face to face with a world so alive
How I fell . . .
"Did ya feel low?"
No, not at all
"Huh?"
I fell right into the arms of Venus De Milo
The 1992 album is good but it sounds very different from their ‘70s records. In particular the vocals — Verlaine sounds more like Lloyd Cole than himself.Honestly not a huge fan of the other two albums - a bit uneven in my view. I've listened to Adventure and own a vinyl copy even, but it's uneven. There are no highs like on Marquee Moon. I have yet to hear their '92 release. I can tell you it fetches about $150 for a vinyl copy of it on Discogs.
I still cant pound pavement without Marquee Moon or The Message comin into my head from the Manhattan days
