This guy is a FBG and doesn't even know it (1 Viewer)

Weapon of Mass Instruction

Watch my feet!
I had heard the name for some time around here (Nashville) -- Clay Travis.

[*]He is an attorney....and practiced in the Bahamas for a couple of years.

[*]He married a Titans cheerleader.

[*]He loves beer.

[*]He writes a column on Fanhouse and hosts a daily radio show.

[*]He hates the BCS.

Now, the reason I point you to him is the radio show. 104.5 in Nashville is a 100k watt FM sports powerhouse, dominant in the market. #1 morning, #1 afternoon drive. They had Rome on 11-2 but he just didn't fit this market. So, they started a 12-3 (CST) show called "Three Hour Lunch" -- Clay Travis, Blaine Bishop (former Titan, just along for the ride) and local sports veteran Brent Dougherty (for sanity). The show was started almost as filler but it is a huge, monstrous success. They have national topline guests and make sportscenter or national radio weekly.

You need to listen just to hear Clay Travis. You listen for 1 hour and you realize that he is the epitome of a FBG. He says what we wish we could say and get away with it. Furthermore, you should follow him on Twitter.

Listen daily 12-3 at www.1045thezone.com -- you won't regret it.

His book - Dixieland Delight - A Football Season on the Road in the Southeastern Conference - is a must read for any college football fan. He definietly writes is like a "FBG"I'm pretty sure Tat knows him, or is friends of friends with him.

Very funny read

I don't know how he gets away with half of what he says on the show. Not profane...but he says what most people only think then censor themselves and don't say.

The show is on now and you guys are missing some of the best FBG fodder on radio today. Clay is on the Paul Finebaum show every once in a while and they are on a segment ridiculing the callers from Alabama, and playing some actual clips from calls. Hilarious.

Listen for 15 minutes --- you'll thank me.

I do love the show when I get a chance to listen.

Love when he just rips into fans of other teams (usually Bama or Kentucky IIRC)

Extreme bump, but I thought I'd put this here.

One of my friends heard a rumor that Clay is in a commercial for a hair plugs company. (1) Can any of you Nashville people confirm this? (2) If so, do you know of where a copy of this could be found? My friends and I would be forever in your debt.

Thanks.
