Anyone going to see it today? Just got back. No complaints but didn’t have high expectations. The Elton John cameo was a nice touch.

Closest place it's playing around me is about an hour away. Think I'm going to have to wait until its on streaming, unfortunately.

the original is one of my favorite movies of all-time, regardless of genre. Groundbreaking, insightful and so smart and funny. And I am a huge fan of all the Christopher Guest mockumentaries that came later.

Based on that, I am not holding out high hopes for anything close to as good as the original - like many really good things, it was of it's time. Regardless I will see it and likely will find some spots that make it worthwhile.

I've only seen some clips of it, but it looks great. I especially liked their appearance on Jimmy Kimmel where they looked every bit their age (77-81 years old). I thought Christopher Guest's eye black was an especially nice touch. Mocking the aging rock stars trying to look younger and hipper.
