I kind of expected this. Hey, the Colts managed 13 points last week. At home. Against KC. This came off of a 6 INT day. Now sure, it appears that I blew this one. But I felt it best to make sure that Indy was able to get back to normal before risking another low scoring game. FWIW, Manning is 6th in my league. I'm a strong believer in the always start your studs rule...but that goes for weather and opponent. If there are circumstances which otherwise point to a poor performance, they are worth considering. With Young, I have seen him play recently and he looked pretty good. Figure that 200/1 and 50 rushing is not impossible against Cinn. Seemed like a good play. Coming off of two good games is nice as well. Being in this to have a little fun, I don't want to be a robot when running my team.This seems to be going off topic from the original post. After years of playing FFB, I think I am nearing the point where I will forsake all others projections and just go with my own. I chose to drink the Jerricho Cotchery kool-aid this week after looking at the FBG rankings...at the expense of starting Chad Johnson (I started Roy Williams as my other WR). Going against my gut is costing me this week with my playoff ### on the line.
I don't want the clouding of my judgement anymore when I go to set my line up.

I admire the loyalty that I see posted from every member with that "since April 03" member tag, but you know what I dont care how long you have been roaming the halls, If the OP wants to express himself that way get over it. The OP is not taking in a ton of cash for his opinion, but FBG is. The customer is always right even when he is wrong. They offered me a refund, you gotta be kidding me, a refund?. If FBG has become such a cash cow that they can offer refunds, then they can respond the proper way to a subscribers rants. The burden to be proffessional and responsive falls on the person who is offering their service for cash, not the customer. Subscriber=Customer. FBG asks customers to employ their site and services. Subscriber=employer, Employer is > FBG. FBG serves its customers, or -------- customers goto ROTOWORLD and fire FBG. I still have no doubt that this is the best site on the internet for Fantasy Football information. The articles here are second to none. I just think that projections have been so far off this year that it's not even worth using them. I'm starting to think the very nature of projecting statistics for football is all a big crapshoot anyway. This year is the worst one I can remember, that's for sure.

I think anyone that had the Jets beating the Steelers last week were just throwing crap against the walls. That's why some games are called upsets. In competitive sports, for whatever reason, you occasionally have a team that really shouldn't win pull out a win. Pop culture has defined this as a "upset", meaning a team "upsetted" a team that had no business losing. Like the Jets beating the Steelers. It just so happens that the projections have numbers to the left of them in descending order, or RANK, if you will.#2 I pay footballguys for articles and projections. I expect them to be somewhat accurate. If I pay for a product that does not come through, you bet your #### I will complain about it. Same as if I pay someone to mow my lawn. I expect the lawn to be mowed, and will not jump up and down with excitement and praise the mower for doing his job, if it is completed as it should be. It seems that you should be refunded your membership fee, but none of us here in the Shark Pool have your money! I could not agree with you more. The projections alone are not worth the membership fee. It's the articles and analaysis of plaers that are really worth the money.If you are just paying a fee to anyone to manage your team for you, then you will continue to be disappointed.

I said if you are indifferent b/t 2 players LOOK at the rankings not go by the rankings. They only projected Cotchery (6 rec / 87 yds) to have 25 more yards than KJ. In my league KJ has a least 40 more pts for the season and he sat out the 1st 3 weeks. On a side note, I am sure they had Cotchery high b/c Coles was out and the Jets figured to be playing from behind and throwing a lot.
I would not disagree with you that the projections and rankings miss. However everyone misses, every rankings/projections done by everyone in the world misses. Unless you are Biff Tannen with Grey's Sports Almanac you are not going to hit on every player every week. IMHO Footballguys tends to hit more than they miss, and throw that in with the volume of articles and offseason reports you receive you are getting more than your moneys worthI am paying FBG for insight, analysis, and projections. The projections this year haven't helped me. That is what I am saying. Do you even read my posts? I am not blaming FBG for me losing or for who I start, I am saying that the service that I pay for isn't very good at coming through with accurate projections.Yes the projections are in order of rank, however a lot of weeks you will find very few points seperating quite a few players. This is where you need to use your brain to seperate various starters.If you think paying a service to figure out sporting projections is the same as paying someone to cut your grass, you will find yourself very disapointed with any site on the web in regards to any sport you choose to follow. You are not paying FBGs to manage your fantasy football team, you are paying them to give you a point of view, and analsyis.#1 I was talking about the projections, not the rankings. It just so happens that the projections have numbers to the left of them in descending order, or RANK, if you will.#2 I pay footballguys for articles and projections. I expect them to be somewhat accurate. If I pay for a product that does not come through, you bet your #### I will complain about it. Same as if I pay someone to mow my lawn. I expect the lawn to be mowed, and will not jump up and down with excitement and praise the mower for doing his job, if it is completed as it should be. Conversely, if half of the lawn was missed, I will complain about it.#1 I laugh very hard when I read people complaining about the rankings. Go look at the projections, although the rankings will give you a good look at a glance the projections are where you see the real meat and potatoes of why a player is ranked X, Y and Z.#2 If people are going to blame FBGs for them putting player X in when he was ranked high and finished low, I would expect those same players to be in here touting FBGs when they are right. Well they aren't, they are other threads touting their "genius" and how much foresight the had. You can't have it both ways.Yeah, but for everyone who pats the official projections on the back for getting Kolby's big week correct- what about Cotchery? I started him in all 3 of my leagues, based on his projections. Yeah, yeah, I know it was me who put him in the lineup, and this ain't exactly a science. I had my doubts about Crotchery, but put him in anyway because of the projections. I'm not blaming anyone but myself- but I'm starting to wonder why I shell out the dough every year. For me this week it came down to a tough decision between Cotchery and Kevin Jones (I have these two in all 3 of my leagues), so I used my FBG membership to assist with the decision, and let's just say it has left a very bad taste in my mouth. So bad that I decided not to start Kolby Smith today in one league, because I couldn't get Cotchery's terrible projections out of my headThe point is, if you disagree with the rankings then start whoever you want to start. Don't ##### like a ##### on the message board about it. Sure Chad Johnson outperformed Cotchery this week. I have both of them in one league, and I started CJ. Where did I ever say I wanted someone to manage my team for me? If I have a tough decision to make about a single starter to put into my lineup, I should be able to reference the people that I am paying for information as to what the best decision would be. If I pick 8 guys on my own, then get stuck on the last one, shouldn't I be able to come here and get a pretty good idea of which guy to put in, when I pay for that information?
I would imagine that Kevin Jones was projected low due to his injury going into the season. In August Kevin Jones was a crap shoot to come back healthy.

If you go out to dinner at a restaurant and are dissatisfied with the service, do you bring it to the attention of the manager of the establishment, or do you just go outside and complain about it to strangers in the parking lot? Translation: Nobody in the SP gives a #### that you started Cotchery in three leagues this week because you misused the projections. If you want your money back, you're asking the wrong people.

That's what these threads are all about. The crux of the issue anyway, is people coming into threads like these to complain that the only reason they started player X above player Y was because FBGs told them to.Again if you look at all the info that FBGs provides the rankings should only be about 15-25% of your membership fee. They are worth that price.

I think his point is if you are not happy then go get your money back and stop paying for the service, instead of complaining about it in the Shark Pool.

When people venture onto this message board, they want to find football information, not a bunch of losers whining about FBG's. If it's not worth the money, then don't subscribe. Ahh, I think your original post of "The projections are not worth the membership fee" may have lead a lot or reads (including myself) to think you meant that all you subsribed for was the projections.I would say that even when they are wrong they are great to give you a good idea as to what other Fantasy Owners may be thinking. Where certain players are positioned and such.

LOL, so now if I complain about a problem with a service that I have paid a $25 membership fee for, it means I must be unemployed. What if I bought a six-pack of beer for $8 and one of the beers was full of urine? Does that mean I shouldn't complain, because it only cost me $8? Again, I never said I wanted my money back. And you sure do seem to be spending a lot of time in a thread full of "whining about FBG's". There are plenty of other threads going right now if you want to jump in one of those.

Wow, you're missing the point. The point is some of the ranking stink, going Cotchery over CJ is bad. Going Grossman over a top 3 QB of all time in his prime is bad. My original point is the ranking stunk of "yahoo" knee-jerk reaction where Peyton has a bad week and he's not even in the top 14 QBS. You barking at this other member about getting a job and unsubscribing is flat out lame, we pay money here and don't need trolls harrassing paying customers. The other poster is not ripping FBG, I am not ripping FBG. If you must have your nose up the staffs rear end so far you don't make sense go ahead and enjoy the smell....
