Is he still hurt? Is Mangini insisting on not running the football or is Leon Washington a clearly superior running back? I don't think I'm the only one confused over TJ's lack of production thus far.

Not hurt...

The problem is that every team can stack the box because they know Pennington isn't going to beat them over the top. If things continue the way they have been, I think Clemens gets a shot which should keep defenses back a little bit and open up the running lanes more. Until then, I don't think you'll see much of a change. There is just no room for him to get going.

:moneybag: I traded for him before this previous week's game against BUFF...his schedule is looking good the next few games, but 12 or so carries is unacceptable. In his defense, his first three games (esp Week 3 against mia) were not that bad considering the defenses he was playing. IMO, expect a big game against NYG. Washington was used in the final couple drives due to the Jets being down 10 pts late in the fourth and his superior pass catching ability.

I dont know about that, Cotchery and Bimbo Coles are 2 pretty good WRs. TJ is not cutting it for whatever reason

Nothing to do with the receivers.... it's the length of the field that the defense needs to respect Pennington's arm. Since he has one of the weaker arms in the NFL, they can stack the box a little more. I agree that both receivers are solid. If Pennington's arm were a little bit stronger, they'd be in a lot better shape.

I wasn't aware Thomas Jones was considered to have "superior pass catching ability".
