Those that drafted Matt Hasselbeck...who is your QB2/3 (1 Viewer)

Ministry of Pain

I ended up with Hass on a few redraft teams because I waited and waited and waited...too much value at other positions and I wish I had read the "Drafting in Guppie" leagues article a little closer...that was one of the best FBG had this year, was something different.

I ended up with the combo of Delhomme/Grossman in quite a few of these behind Hasselbeck...was wondering what you all ended up with and how you are liking the match ups through the season.

Grossman. I passed on Romo for Hasselbeck which in hindsight was probably a bad idea. There are always starting QBs on the waiver wire so I am not too concerned though.

Was targeting Kitna in the 7th but the guy in front of me took him - I actually said 'Argh!' :football: - so I took Hasselbeck. I really like the upside of Kitna, especially since the league doesn't penalize picks, but I think I'm more comfortable with Hasselbeck. Backup is Cutler who somehow fell to me in the 9th, even with a room full of Bronco homers.

Losman and Grossman. I also grabbed Garcia extremely late (24th round) just because he was there, but have since cut him as I needed DL to start while Jared Allen is suspended.

That was a great article. I was so happy I read that before my draft because if I hadn't I might have missed some real gems in my draft this year.

Got Hasselbeck for $8 in my standard scoring 10 team $200 auction. I pretty much spent all of my money on my starters and was forced to bottom feed on the $1 players for the rest of the draft. Ended up with Losman as my QB2, but in a 10 team league there are still a couple of QB's avialable on waivers that I will keep an eye on during this first week.

Roethlisberger. I view it as more of a QBBC than a starter/backup situation.

Though I just looked at the Seahawks' schedule. Holy crap, they play against a lot of pretty suspect defenses, including all of the teams in their division. :hey:

Same here. I had Roethlisberger and in a trade I had a choice of Romo or Hass, and I took Hass because I wanted the player more likely to be consistent. When I made the deal, I viewed it as Hass as 1a and Roeth as 1b. Really tough choice for week 1.Who are you starting this week: Ben or Matt?

Actually, took Rivers first in an auction/contract dynasty, and Hass is my QB2.

Their schedules actually match up really well together this year.

I have Hass, but I dont consider him my number one. Have Hasselback, Kitna, and Leinart. QBBC pretty much, Im hoping one really steps up and becomes a clear favorite

I have Hass in a Survivor league paired with Eli Manning.

You could havce easily grabbed Brett Favre to go with him if you waited, and I think that is a good QB combo. Heck, I've been calling Favre the uber-QB2-stud. IMO, if you wait at QB, then you should reach at QB2. Don't be behind most other teams at both QB1 AND QB2. The only reason to risk being behind at QB1 is so you can be ahead at the other important spots. And you can hedge that bet with a good QB2

Drafted Hass in 2 leagues- b/u is Big Ben in one & Big Ben, Campbell in another. I don't really see B R as a b/u though. I've debated on playing Ben this week, but have decided to play Hass b/c I think PITT will run more on CLE. Think Hass will throw more. I see these two as almost interchangeable depending on the matchups (which as an earlier post noted, probably benefits Hass more).

In the one $ league where I drafted Hasselbeck, I took Garcia as his back-up. We've got roster limits that limit us to two QBs, so no third guy.

I'm in the same boat as many here. Smaller dynasty league and I somehow horded QBs. Ended up with Hass, Romo, Kitna. After the draft, I moved Brandon Jackson for Leinart and Eli with the objective of later moving a couple QBs for value down the line.

However, in the mean time I'm stuck having to decide each week among this lower tier group.

Since we are all in the same position, is there a consensus on Hass being a good start this week against TB?

Hasselbeck actually is my QB2. I took Brady in round 4 of one of my drafts and when I got to round 9 Hass was still sitting there and I figured the value was too good to pass up.
