Threat of beheadings at Cranston schools. (1 Viewer)

Pretty big story here in RI, my son is in the NK school system and even though that isn't a town mentioned in the threats the school sent out an email saying police were stepping up their presence at all the schools.

Send your kid to school. Projo reported a 25-30% absence rate today. That's crazy. No one is going to come behead our kids.

My wife teaches at Tollgate. I fully expect her to come home tonight with her head still on.

Wll duh.....she's not a student.

I think I may send my kids to school tomorrow but I'm not sure. Thoughts?
Tell them to bury their noses in their books and dive head first into their school assignments. You're sticking your neck out there for them by supporting them, they could at least do the same.

Definitely send them to school based on this logic from link:

"Several parents said they would keep their children at home, but McCartney (Warwick Police Chief) encouraged them not to do that.

'The schools may be the safest place to be,' he told WPRO-AM."

I've been to Cranston actually.

Post Sandy Hook, shouldn't there be an armed guard at every school?
No
Okey dokey, back to Plan B.

:tumbleweed:

What was Plan B again?
Training school employees what to do in the event of an armed intruder.
Serious question: what should they do?
Our kids now have:

earthquake drills - climb under their desks

fire drills - walk to a spot down the road outside

tornado drills - head to the gym

lock down drills - head to the designated spot in their classroom while teacher locks the door.

WTF is Cranston?
the best town in the world as we all know
Exactly. This girl is a Cranston 8 and won Miss USA. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Olivia_Culpo
My brother claims to know her very well from her time at BU
How well?
Very
Yeah, this isn't gonna work, guy. Graphic details, please.
