3 DSTs has been a strategy I have seen used in these here survivor leagues due the variability of DSTs week to week and the joy of hamstringing a draftmate. When is it worth the sacrifice?

What issues do you see with this strategy?

I think its a valid strategy in a survivor league where you draft 20 or 24 rounds like in the WSL's or PDSL's. However I don't think its a valid strategy in the SSL's with only 18 rounds. I think in the 18 round SSL's it would hurt getting much needed depth at RB or WR.

I personally have never drafted 3 D/ST's in any survivor league. I would much rather have the depth at RB or WR but I can see why people do it and I can't blame them for it.

Agree that it is not valid with only 18 man rosters, but a definite advantage in 24 man rosters
If that was an option in the poll, that'd be my choice....Often I see in 18-spot Survivor what I call the standard roster format of 2x starters:2QB4RB6WR2TE2PK2D/STJust seems to make the most sense for covering byes, injuries, scoring variance, etc.I could see if you went RB or WR heavy early and had 3 RB or 5 WR with no bye week issues that you might try the 3D/ST strategy, but that still feels like pushing your luck.
