Thursday games in December (1 Viewer)

Annoying from a fantasy perspective, having to make decisions on Thursday for PLAYOFF games, sometimes without sufficient information. Let's say you want to start a Sunday player but are unsure of his status. Do you start a Thursday guy to be safe instead, or take a chance?

From a fan's perspective, it's another menu item out there to choose. Fine if you want it, no big deal to pass on it, and dangerous if the wifey is already annoyed that Saturday, Sunday, Sunday night, and Monday night games are already filling up the family time.

Very :ptts: Even if I had NFLN, I think I used up all my Get Out of Jail Free cards with the wife watching some of the great college games on Thursday nights this year. It's nice to have the night free again, to be honest. The Panthers game will be on local TV so I'll probably have it on since she is a Panthers fan. But otherwise it screws with fantasy too much to be worth it to me.

Since I have a VERY forgiving wife, I like the extra games. The fantasy annoyance is minor at this stage ... and a couple of months from now, I will wish I had watched every game as I go through withdrawal.

Jeff's wife is very understanding because while he's working his regular job, and working for FBG, and working the WW in our leagues like a madman, and trading like a madman, and posting here, and watching games 8 days a week, and going through withdrawals when the games end, she's out shopping and spending all his money. At least she's not out having an affair, right? Right? Uh, right Jeff?

Thursday games are the worst decision the NFL has made for a long time.

When does the contracts of NBC and or ABC/ESPN run out? The sooner the better because than the NFL can do away with the Thursday games and just move the NFL network games to Sunday/Monday night and be done with it. As long as they only keep one game that is good for us all but if they start flexing their muscle and start changing times of games, picking what games they have, etc. that is bad for business. At least it would be from this consumer.
