Tiki, Ricky, Dillon - Who has a real shot of playing this year (1 Viewer)

Okay there has been much speculation in several threads that one of these guys may come back, etc. Due to the hihgh number of injuries this year, maybe this happens. Which one really has a chance and playing and making an impact this year?

I would say Ricky has the best chance of coming back - just because he is applying for re-instatement. The other guys I am not sure if they really do want to some back. I do not think Goodell would suspend hime any further than what he has already been. The real question is if the Dolphins would release his rights, and if he would really make an impact now.

Thoughts?

:lmao:

TiKi wanted out with his health. I don't think he would come back for any reason and take the risk of getting hurt.

I think Dillon has had enough.

I figure Ricky is down to seeds and stems and needs money. I picked him up for a bench player (Phillip Rivers) just to see what happens.

How much resin can one guy scrape out of his bowl before he needs to get back to work? What is his re-instatement situation?

I also think the the Giants still own the rights to him. After the bridges burned, I do not think they would release those rights (at least not cheaply).

I was expecting his own thread any time now. I thought he was eligible today (if not, in the next couple). What teams do you think would make a reasonable run at Ricky right now? N.O. - McAllister, G.B. - any RBs, N.E., Oakland, Chicago, Detroit, Tampa, or would Miami keep him? Speculate with me here, 'till he gets his own thread running.

He can apply today. The process could take as long as 10 weeks but it I think it happens in less than 2 weeks. If reinstated he belongs to the Dolphins. If the process takes longer than 2 weeks he will be reinstated after the trading deadline. Since I assume the Dolphins won't roster him they would have to cut him. If he gets reinstated prior to the trading deadline I would imagine the Dolphins would try to trade his rights before outright releasing him. They would not get more than a second day pick but it's something. Than of course his reinstatement could get denied but I don't think so since he served his punishment and has stayed out of trouble during his suspension. This is a mulitiple step process which should take a few weeks or more to resolve. First get reinstated, next let the Dolphins give up his rights, next Ricky needs to find a team willing to take a chance on him both from a PR perspective and knowing he's one drug test from going away. Finally Ricky would need to take a few weeks to learn the new system and get in game shape. In other words it's going to take a ton of things to happen for him to help out fantasy teams in the next month but if you've got the roster spot to spare and can be patient a decent chance exists he could be helping fantasy teams later in the season.

He's been teaching holistic whatever in Grass Valley. I'm sure he accepts payment in cash or, um, property.

Grass Valley? For real? :lmao:

i could really see ricky in gb. he aint getting into trouble there, plus it would give favre a halfway decent rb. as good as gb looks, they aint winning anything without a running game.

i could see dillon in NO in the deuce roll (slightly smaller).

tiki is done.

Grass Valley? For real?
Absolutely for real. It's a smallish town between Sacramento and Reno, off Hwy 80. And he's been living there off and on since he first 'retired' from the Dolphins. Appropriate, yes? LOL.

Ricky will take 60 days for the doctors and commish to make a determination

Tiki CANT play this season. If you file papers you MUST sit a year

Dillon is a long shot but possible

IMO Ricky is the best bet.. He is the only one that WANTS to play...Or atleast his agent says he does

Before his last snafu, he expressed interest in Oakland. With Jordan's injury(s), and the fact that the Raiders are contending in their division, I'm thinking this makes the most sense. Green Bay desperately needs him and is in 1st in their division... a division that you MUST be able to run the ball post-October. Tampa w/o Cadillac should make a play as well and all 3 of those teams should appeal to Ricky if he would like a shot at a 'chip. Of course, N.E. may become the best team ever assembled if they want to shoot for him, but P.R. may be an issue for them following cameragate.

Fixed. About 10 minutes to suspend a player, 60 days to re-instate?
