Tim Hightower week 11 (1 Viewer)

Playing Hightower against Seattle and sitting Jacobs against Baltimore. Of course, this is one league out of the ones I am in that I am not going to make the playoffs , but even if I was, I'd still sit Jacobs against the Ravens.
I played Hightower too, but NEVER AGAIN!!!!!

My Tim Hightower fantasy football experiment is officially over.
Hehehehe, i traded TH and FAtdale White for Jones Drew two weeks ago in dynasty . My trade looks amazing at the moment.

Hightower is not a feature RB.
Especially not in that offense.
Nonsense. RBs should THRIVE in that offense with all the talent at wide receiver.Remember fat Gary Brown? You could have clocked his 40 time with a calendar, but he ripped off long run after long run because defenses had to pay attention to Haywood Jeffires, Drew Hill, Ernest Givens and Curtis Duncan. This is an ideal situation for a running back. Give the kid some time. A year ago, he was playing for Richmond against the likes of William & Mary and James Madison. He'll be fine.
I would say, what you see is what you get.

I would also like to see the coaches stick with THT and give him 20 plus carries. The rotating RB may not work for him - in the one gamer they fed him the rock he looked good - yes that was the lowly Rams but thats who they played. Would like to see it again - coaches must not agree - I am looking at him more for next year at this point. Can't chance starting him again this year with those few carries - especially not getting GL

He's getting GL carries. He got stuffed at the five a few times. He just yields to Arrington in spread passing formations, and Arrington got the call on both the GL plays he was in for.

Yesterday was the first time I got to watch a good portion of a Cards game and was so annoyed watching them try to run him out of a shotgun formation. That doesn't seem to be his strong suit to me.

I don't know that I can start this guy when he's constantly running out of a formation that he seems to struggle with.

1) Arizona's run game sucks.2) Tim Hightower is probably the least talented of the three backs Arizona has. Draw your own conclusions.

So, is Edge going to make a min-comback? I've stuck with the guy in one redraft that is very RB starved. What's the concensus? Is Edge checked-out and just collecting a paycheck, or is he going to be given the call again as the bellcow?

Since Edge was demoted for something other than performance, it doesn't seem likely that poor performance by Hightower and/or Arrington will result in Edge getting the job back. It'll be based on the internal politics, not by what happens on the field.

If Hightower continues to perform at this level, I see AZ bringing new talent at the position next year, likely via the draft.

Exactly. Try telling that to the Hightowerettes though ...Even further stand by my statement that THT simply doesn't pass the Eyeball Test. Guy is a JAG.

Hightower was a 5th rd pick for a reason. Most 5th rd picks do not even make it in the NFL. Hightower looked good when he was getting the gaol line and a few carries here and there. The more carries he gets the worse he looks.Hightower was projected in the draft as a good special teams guy who was a tweener RB-FB short yardage type.

Perhaps there's a bit of the behind-the-scenes stuff, but I can't imagine that Edge's lackluster numbers (< 3.5 YPC) didn't play a major role in his demotion.

That would only make sense if they replaced him with someone who was performing better. Edge had better YPC numbers at every down and distance than Hightower.

He'll be fine on my bench until he shows a little consistency.
Go with God.
Old man Edge still may be the best RB for "that team"..too bad he ran his mouth.
Disagree, GB. Edge looked very, very pedestrian this year.If someone wants to kick Timmy to the curb, I'll pick him up in a heartbeat. Have some patience with the young fella.
:ptts:

Good news - 2 TDs

Bad news - 11 carries

good news - other RBs 1 carry each

Bad news - 2 YPC

Good news - explosive offense

Bad news - never run except out of the Gun

Still looks like he is the man but with many question marks - you can't count on two TDs each week - he is a #3RB in my eyes right now - if they run more maybe a #2 next year
