Tim Hightower (1 Viewer)

I haven't heard people talking about this, but does anyone think Tim Hightower could be a good sleeper play this week? There seems to be a lot going in his favor:

-May have gotten out of the doghouse with his 15 carry, 81 yard performance last week

-Being used more than Beanie Wells (32 carries to only 16 for Wells the past 3 weeks)

-Going against an already abysmal Denver D that will likely be without two starting linebackers and is dealing with the turmoil of a coaching change

-Cards are likely starting rookie John Skelton at QB which will mean more reliance on the running game and possibly more check down throws to the RB, which benefits Hightower's game

-Plays at home, which is always a good thing

What says the Shark Pool? Arizona does have an anemic offense with a rookie QB, but they could produce against an equally bad D.

I am right there with you. I am thinking about benching LT in favor of Hightower

Thinking the same thing, for all the same reasons. Right now, I have him in over Jacobs at flex.

Thinking the exact same thing -- Hightower over Jacobs in the flex in a PPR league.

I like Hightower - not just this week but for the rest of the year.

Beanie can't get out of his own way.

Skelton will be dumping the ball off (boost Hightower in PPR)

Hightower plays when AZ is behind / needs to throw

I agree with the "sneaky RB2" assessment. Good luck.

I'm not so sure that Hightower isn't the better back of the two. Wells just can't seem to get it going. He's a poor man's Shonn Greene at this point.

Hightower seems to be a lot more productive.

There's sneaky, and then there's sneaky. That was among the best garbage time performances I can think of.

edit due to spelling
