Tim Tebow as a QB3? (1 Viewer)

Thoughts on Tebow as a QB3 in leagues that start 2 QB?
I think you severely miss drafted with taking Vick but no true start at QB3, personally I would look to move to get a true starter. You will end up with a stretch of possibly 4-5 games with tebow starting.Vick injured 2-3Ryan byeVick byeIn the end your weak there so you need to hope everyone else turns out great.

I would love to have Tebow as a QB3 in a start 2 league. He's got to be at least as good as a decent flex and it would not surprise me in the least to see him supplant Sanchez as the starter.

Ya, that's what I'm thinking. It looks like Tebow will play in every game, even with Sanchez starting, so if Tebow can get me 5-10 pts (rushing yards and maybe a TD) for bye weeks and any potential injuries, I'm cool with that as my QB3.

He's a good QB3 in 2 QB leagues. There's a very good chance Tebow will start games this season and people seem to forget the ridiculous fantasy points Tebow puts up when he plays. Also, there's a guy named Holmes who Sanchez never tries to throw the ball to that I'm sure Tebow will throw to plenty of times.

I guess I don't understand any of this reasoning, in a start 2 QB league you need actual starters at QB. Tebow is fine but for a 4th QB not a QB3. There is no sure thing he even gets any points in a week, no one even knows the Jets offense at this point and even though they say the wild cat is in doesn't stop them from completely cutting it out on a week by week basis.

In the end I would rather grab Gabbert or Locker if he wins the job than have Tebow.

So you saying your happy with 5 points? What's a bottom of the line starter get on average in your league? 12-15?

You are now at a 7-10 point disadvantage to even the worst starters, did the guy you chose in place of taking a legit #3 really give you that big of an advantage over who you could have taken later in the draft? I would guess most likely not.

I had Skelton but traded him away for Willis McGahee.

I like that you had Skelton as you were at least thinking you needed another QB that could possibly become the start on the team. I would look to see if any of the guys rumored to possibly win jobs are still out there, I would bet Wilson from SEA might be if not you should be able to trade for Flynn/Wilson combo for not a ton as they are seen as not a great option.Your in a great position though with the 2QBs you have if they stay healthy but in a 2QB league you can always find WRs/RBs/TEs but if you have Vick out because of injury every team will lick their chops when you come trying to trade as they know you either need to make a deal or forget about the season.EDIT: Now that I think of it you should go out and pick of Kafka (i think thats how you spell it) and roster him just in case Vick does go down you are for sure going to have a backup for the 2-3 weeks he is out.

Upside as a QB2/3 in 2 QB leagues, especially those with 4pt pass TD. Passing may be marginal, but rushing is outstanding. You're essentially getting an RB who also accumulates passing stats. Cam, Vick, Steve and others have proven that to be huge in fantasy football. Makes him a very high floor PPG QB2 in such leagues. Jets surrounding cast is crappola, otherwise Tim's upside could be much higher than it is this year.

I suggest Fitzpatrick as a complimentary cheap QB for the early weeks. Fitz will score points early when the weather's good and he's healthy. He'll fade late when the season grinds with injuries and worsening weather. Just as Fitz is turning for the worse, Timmy T should be ascending to starter. Hopefully.

:)
