too general of a question for meI'd have to look at the roster in questionfor some, Marshawn Lynch could be too crazy, for others, that'd be perfect.what's too crazy?
It was the Panthers. Look at CJnoK ths week vs. last. Not saying that Smith doesn't have potential for more good games, but it's Adrian Peterson.I picked up Kevin Smith last week and the Peterson owner offered me him for Kevin Smith straight up. Tough decision considering Peterson is Peterson, and Smith was just a flier.
The thing is, Peterson can sit out and be okay next week, or be out until week 15 or 16. While it's just a grade 1 sprain and Peterson has been a quick healer, there's a lot of uncertainty there. Not to turn this into the assistant coach's forum, but I'm 10-1 so I can afford to wait. Problem is, my starting backs are Fred Jackson and Ray Rice. Jax is done, and I have Kevin Smith, Ogbonnaya, and Hillis on IR. Hillis did some light running and cutting individually today, so that's a plus. I'll have an IR pick for Jackson and the best option there is Gerhart. Spiller is gone. But I'm last in line and Gerhart may go before me. I'm nervous about the possibility of going into Week 14 without a decent #2RB option. Are we hearing it's a given that Peterson will take the walking boot off tomorrow like ESPN alluded to just now? Is this as bad as Felix Jones' sprain? It was the Panthers. Look at CJnoK ths week vs. last. Wow. I wouldn't have given up more than Forte in that trade. Not only are you taking a risk but you might be facing this guy in the playoffs and he will be at a huge advantage if AP isn't 100%.i'm in second and should lock up a 1st round bye this weekend. guy i traded with is on the brink of making the playoffs and cannot afford to wait on ap.ppr. i traded forte/reggie/hernandez for ap/sproles/dickson. high ankles are a huge risk but, fingers crossed, ap is back by week 15. we shall see.
If your leagues still allow trades this late in the season something is wrong.
Yup- last week was also too late..... bad late trades= league disintegration. If your leagues still allow trades this late in the season something is wrong.![]()
McFadden has a foot injury, not a high ankle sprain.I absolutely traded him...high ankle sprains are a #####... see McFadden (also on my team). My team is tied for the top seat... and I lost Cutler and Peterson at the same time. Its a 2 QB league... so I needed to make a move. Was able to work a blockbuster trade. I went after the 2nd worst team in our league who owns Brady.I got:Brady Michael Bush2012 1r1p2013 1r1pGave up:ADPCutlerLuckObviously this is a dynasty/keeper league.
I'm commish in a redraft league and we intentionally end trades at the end of Week 13 when the free agent moves end.The caveat to keep things honest is that once a team is determined to be mathematically out of contention, they are not allowed to trade.Yup- last week was also too late..... bad late trades= league disintegration. If your leagues still allow trades this late in the season something is wrong.![]()
duly noted. there is also a chance that he is back week 14 15 and 16 and helps win championships. i'll get back to you at season's end and let you know how it panned out. high risk, high reward is my game.I wouldn't give up much for him. Not only is there a chance he's out 4+ weeks but due to the nature of injury and risk of long-term damage there's a strong chance they limit his touches for the rest of the season. The Vikings aren't in the playoff hunt and there would be no reason to risk anything with their franchise player. Unless you're giving up very little, trading for AP is a sucker play.
There's just as a good of a chance of his first game back being week 14 and being limited carrying the ball 10 or less times and helps lose championships.duly noted. there is also a chance that he is back week 14 15 and 16 and helps win championships. i'll get back to you at season's end and let you know how it panned out. high risk, high reward is my game.I wouldn't give up much for him.
