It will never happen but if there was ever a series where the MVP could come from the losing team LeBron could be that guy. Curry is a nice shooter but hasn't played like an MVP and Klay disappears as well.
You replace Lebron with anyone else in the league and we wouldn't be watching a game 5 right now.
:bs:
Who else would have gotten Cleveland to a Game 5 in this series?
6 or 7 other professional basketball players.
Name them.
Curry

Durant

Hardin

Westbrook

Paul

Davis

Lin (if he gets hot one game)

Cavs need to fine someone on a 10 day contract that an hit a shot....this supporting cast is a joke. Perkins and Marion still no minutes?
Lol...u mention hitting a shot and then talk about Perkins.
Why sign those bums if you won't play them under any condition? Even if LeBron had a Harrison Barnes type this could be more interesting.
where exactly were they going to pick up this Harrison Barnes type?

You cannot be serious.

I give the Cavs a ton of credit for the way they have played so far, but I think the fact they are only playing 7 players basically every game is catching up to them and they lose the next 2. Game 5 will be close with the extra day off, but game 6 will be pretty close to a repeat of game 4.
I think the Dubs have been playing 7 as well, haven't they?
No

Curry

Thompson

Barnes

Green

Bogut

Ezzeli or however you spell it

AI

Lee

Barbosa

Livingston
Prob more like 8, maybe 9 in one or two, if we looked back game by game at meaningful minutes.
Yeah, I don't think all those guys are getting legit minutes.

Just saying he doesn't even have anyone on that level or an Iguodala. Regardless every FA wanted to come play w him....why bring on those turds.

I stopped believing after this post. I either:

  • Don't believe he's being serious
or

  • Don't believe he's really much of a basketball fan

I think James might've had a shot at winning the MVP on the losing team before the 4th Q, but after that shooting display, Curry will get it. GS will close this out Tuesday.

Why Mozgov didn't play after the best game of his life is a mystery to me as well.
Blatt reacted to the Warriors instead of trying to dictate the match ups.
They've tried keeping Mozgov in against GSW's micro lineup, but Mozgov can't keep up with all the movement. There's a version of Iguodala that Mozgov could guard in short stretches, but Iggy played too well in Game 4 to risk it again.

I thought he would have been ok when Lee was in, but he does get exposed if they have to switch. They need to go to him more on the offensive end,

Lebron is the easy MVP win or lose. One of the greatest individual series ever played.
I think it has to come from the winner.
You mean there's a rule for that? I doubt it.
Has it ever happened, the loser of the finals having the MVP?
Just as a note, I just went down a list of all the MVPs, and found my first one from a losing team - Jerry West in 1969 for the Lakers. They lost to the Celtics. I didn't go back any further than that. Here are West's numbers: 38 pts, 7.5 ast and 5 reb.

ETA: Sorry, didn't see Bruce already had it..

Did he shoot better than 40%?

He shot 49% and 84% from the line. Remember there was no 3 back then, so not so many long distance shots. West was unstoppable with the midrange jumper, from what I've read.

There was no cryotherapy either

I heard West's blood naturally held at around 32 degrees F.

I wonder if the CLE fans get thrown a bone if GSW closes out in 6 and gets to see LeBron handed the Russell Trophy.

Hard to envision GSW winning Game 7 at home and anyone other than Curry getting named MVP.
