Finally some good news for Rose. Good for the Bulls announcing a timetable. Something they've never done. He's no longer THE franchise. No need to over protect him.

Never had an issue with any of the previous upgrade, this board upgrade is awful. Is this a work in progress? (I hope)
I read/heard some speculation that Rose might cause drama again about coming back this year but I really doubt it.

All year, though, the Bulls have seemed to be a team yet to hit their stride. I'm not sure there will be enough time before the playoffs. Maybe they'll get out of the first round but they'll likely be heavy underdogs the second round.
I know it hurts them in terms of roster depth, but it seems like there's a decent chance the overall team performance might be better without him.

His on/off shows almost zero difference. Its actually pretty amazing.

That means my supposition is probably wrong then, as it's not likely the guy(s) who get his minutes will perform as well as he did with them.

Oof. Wizards 2-11 last 13 games. And hasnt exactly been a murderer's row of games. Lost back-2-back to 2 of 3 worst teams in league.

Rally up the Knicks!! Couldn't give the game away and wind up winning in Detroit.

Thought there would be no way the Knicks won another game this year. Congratulations Detroit.

Who said Brian Roberts is better than Mo Williams in the other thread? C'mon. Charlotte didn't even let Mo get his feet wet before he was starting and playing double+ BRob's minutes. Yes, they are 1-3 since the trade...losses to OKC, DAL, BOS and a win against CHI.

Plus Mo Williams once scored 50 points in a game.

LOL @ thread title

Hawks with a nice win in Miami while sitting 3 starters. Would take a pretty epic collapse to not get the #1 seed now I think.

For all the earlier talk about how unfair it is to have the top 8 teams from each conference make the playoffs, the current structure works just fine. If the playoffs started today, the overall 17th and 18th best teams would be in the playoffs (Miami and Brooklyn) rather than the 15th and 16th best teams (N.O. and Phoenix). That's not enough justification for combining conferences for playoffs. I prefer the rivalries that develop from playing the same teams every year, plus travel between east and west coast would be rough. Keep it the same.

But the 7th seed in the West would be fighting for the 2nd seed in the East.

As of last week the East was on pace to send 2 35 win teams to the playoffs.

FBG corn hole in Los Angeles on March 9th. T-wolves @ Clippers. We are going to watch Kevin Garnett be old and still be in better shape than 98 percent of us.

So far Abe and I are going. Anyone else wants to attend, let me know.

And the west would have 2 .500 teams at home. It's not like these are great teams missing the playoffs. Totally worth it in order to keep these 1st round matchups currently scheduled: GS-OKC, Hou-Dal, Port-Clippers, and Mem-SA. Don't mess up those matchups just to get a few average teams in there.

Why should you have to be a "great" team in order to make the playoffs just because your franchise was assigned to the western conference, while terrible teams from the East are making it? The rivalry talk isn't compelling - under a conference-less system we'd just see new rivalries spring up among more deserving teams.

I disagree. I think you are much more likely to see rivalries develop when the matchups are selected from the same small pools of team every year.

I'm sure glad we aren't going to miss out on that awesome Atlanta / Brooklyn grudge match series this year.
