Kerr was impressive after the game last night.

First he credits the GSW video coordinator with the idea of starting Iguodala.

Then he apologizes for lying to the press during the day about the lineup. He said telling the truth would put his team at a disadvantage, being cryptic about it would cause his Twitter feed to explode, so he lied and said there weren't going to be any lineup changes. Said he did it because the championship trophy is awarded for winning games, not morality.
He decided to give minutes to his toughest players,he told them to "punch 'em in the gut" and let's see how they respond. Old school playoff basketball.

The fourth quarter again was Cleveland's downfall getting outscored by 15 points. LeBron truly has to play almost every single minute for them to win this series. Those first few minutes in the 4th quarter were almost unbearable to watch for Cleveland. He can't do everything himself all the time and unfortunately they don't have the depth to spell him some productive time. Marion, Perkins, Miller, Jones are all reasonable players with finals experience - I think Blatt has to take a chance and rotate them in for some reasonable time.
Except for Perkins of course.

It's his third finals in five years - Celtics, Thunder, Cavs

What's the record for finals appearances without a title? I know Elgin was in a ton. Mailman was in 3 without a ring but that can't be the record.

It's Elgin. 8 appearances, no ring. He started the season with LAL the year they won 33 straight and won the title, but Elgin's injuries caused him to retire midseason and he missed the playoffs and title run.

Embiid suffers a setback in the healing process of his surgically repaired foot.

After weeks of rigorous workouts, Embiid had not felt pain in the foot, but a recent CT scan revealed an issue in the healing process, sources said. Philadelphia is consulting with doctors on how to best proceed, and it's still premature to speculate on the possibility of another surgical procedure that could sideline Embiid, sources said.

Golden State is a -8.5 point favorite tonight. Not surprised considering their home record, their LOUD fans, and how banged up/injured the Cavs are. I was thinking we were going to get a 7 game series but not so sure now. :/

Latvian teenage forward Kristaps Porzingis impressing at predraft workouts. 7 feet tall but only 220 right now, three-point range on jumper and showed some rim protection ability during Eurocup play.

He's going to need another year or two before his body fills out, but his shooting is already NBA-ready. Can pick-and-pop and shoot jumpers off screens.

Seems perfect for PHI at 1.03. They could even let him play in Spain one more year if they want him to get more game experience.

Fun stat I heard this morning: the Cavs are 15-0 this season when having 2+ days off in between games. Now, I am sure most or all of those games weren't against Golden St. or without Love and Irving, but it's still something to think about. Given how tired the Cavs looked on Thursday, two days off before tonight's game is definitely what they needed.

How can that be? They lost game 1 after what seemed like a month

Cleveland is a very 'public' side tonight. The only other game where 'public' seemed to take a position was game 3 on Golden State where they lost.

Lakers. Sign jimmy butler and let randle get better, send Kobe off in to the sunset and sign Durant next season.

I'm not huge into the betting scene, but I thought the public took GS for Game 4 as well, even before the real betters jumped in. Everyone was going with GS having their backs against the wall, and treating the game as a "must win", right?

Or am I off on this?

How his body fills out will be key. I've seen him compared to Bargnani because he's so skinny.

Very little chance the Bulls wouldn't match for Jimmy.

The split was basically 50/50 for game 4. You are right, the difference was some heavy hitters were backing GS. It's definitely an interesting line considering Cleveland has held it close three of the four games including both in GS.

I give the Cavs a ton of credit for the way they have played so far, but I think the fact they are only playing 7 players basically every game is catching up to them and they lose the next 2. Game 5 will be close with the extra day off, but game 6 will be pretty close to a repeat of game 4.

True. Perhaps it was a stat relating to the regular season.

Fair or not, these euro guys are scary. They just seem to typically not have the defensive chops necessary for this level.

Yep. If he stays skinny and wants to exclusively play outside, he's the next Andrea Bargnani. If he puts on weight and shows he can absorb contact inside, he could be the next Pau Gasol.

Silly, meaningless trivia as tipoff is still hours away.

Who were Andre Iguodala's three favorite players growing up?

Clue 1: Iggy was born in 1984.

Clue 2: source of this info also states, "From Iguodala's defensive presence to passing and ability to the basket, a little bit of each player can be seen in his game."

Payton defensive, Kidd passing, Grant Hill getting to the basket

I think the Dubs have been playing 7 as well, haven't they?

You shut yer hoar mouth. Some of us already ordered our Okafor jerseys and have no interest in trading them in for Jan Vesely Jr. jerseys.

Seems appropriate for Philly...I mean just like we've never seem foot problems in 7-footers persisting, we've never seen skinny Euro 7-footer busting either with sure things on the board

I was about to post that Embiid was becoming the new Oden but at least Oden played some NBA games.

Prob more like 8, maybe 9 in one or two, if we looked back game by game at meaningful minutes.
