timschochet's thread - Ranking hemorrhoids (3 Viewers)

I mean Iggy sets a moving screen then flops and gets a call.

Then he literally bear hugs James and whines when they call it.

I've never seen a team get called for so little and cry so much.

The games have been entertaining. But watching last night I started to think about teams that have won an NBA title and wondered how either of these two would rate against them. The eventual winner, imop, may be one the worst "teams" to ever win a championship.
This Golden State team is one of the better teams in NBA history.
Two weeks ago, I would have agreed.

However, them struggling this much to beat a Cavs team that is severely outmanned takes them down a few notches. Regardless of how awesome LBJ is, one of the better teams in NBA history would have won disposed of this Cavs team in 4.
You mean like the 72 win 1996 Bulls did to a Sonics team that was Payton, Kemp, Detlef Schremp and a bunch of lifeless corpses? They started 34 year old braided and eterna-stoned Sam Perkins and their bench player who got the most minutes was 36 year old Frank Brickowski. Took the Bulls six games to dispatch them, including a 21 point blowout loss in Game 4 and a double digit loss in Game 5.
Not comparable. Besides, the Bulls were never in any real trouble in that series. There was never any doubt they had it.
This series never was either, it felt just like the Grizzly series. The only moment we might have been nervous was because it is LeBron with the 2 - 1, but even them I was fairly confident that they Warriors would turn it around and the Cavs would wear out.
You are right this series was never in doubt...If LeBron or Shump hit at the end of regulation in game 1 then Kyrie doesn't get hurt and the Cavs are up 1-0 and even with that tragic end to game 1 the Cavs were up mid 4th in game 5 and only down 2 pts with 4 mins left but your right series was never in doubt.

Sorry Dez, we have been reliably informed by the Derpster that game 5 was a blowout because GS shot a higher FT%

Hey guys, the team that is on pace to jack up 32 three pointers is shooting less FTs than the team that is scoring almost exclusively in the paint.

I always love the whining about officiating in these threads. Its 21-4 in FTs .
Great analysis nutbutt! Except GS moving screens result in open 3's. Even better than FT's.
Your impartiality is so refreshing
FT totals is the only true way to judge officiating. Good call, can we get some more of your excellent insight?
Whining about officiating is so insightful.

GS shoots jumpers on 3/4 of their shots and the Cavs drive on 3/4 of their shots you do the math
Yeah math is probably not his thing.
They also shot 10 more shots mr wizard
You do realize when you are fouled while shooting it doesn't count as a "shot", right? (unless it's made of course)

ball goes of shumperts shoulder and called for cleveland. crickets.

I don't think it is possible to know less about basketball than you do.

Do you think the officiating has been good?

It's never good.

was Mr. Wizard really that good at math? Maybe go Einstein or John Nash or something.
I don't know who any of those people are

Really sloppy play by the cavs

If you read my posts, yeah, you would actually learn something. Everything you post is incredibly annoying.
