titans and redskins working on an albert haynesworth deal (1 Viewer)

Fat Albert should land the skins no worse than a 2nd and 3rd rounder IMO, if not more. When he WANTS to play, he's a beast, best there is at his position.

Not sure what the Skins would want back, but I imagine the Titans could put together something alluring. I'd love to have him back in Nashville.

At this point, I'd say Redskins fans feel the same.Although they will be pissed if he's out there hustling for the Titans.

What kind of OL's do the Titans have to offer?
Well, the OL is a position of strength for Tennessee, but mostly by virtue of having two excellent young tackles tied up long term. I highly doubt they'd move any of the starters this close to the season. Frankly, the best thing they could offer would be picks and a receiver or two like Lavelle Hawkins or Damien WIlliams. THey also have depth at TE and could offer Craig Stevens (who is very versatile up front). They have lots of DL depth as well.

I could see, in the abstract, a OL-DL-draft pick package, involving good, young starting caliber players (not proven Pro Bowlers). The 'Skins particularly need an upgrade at RG. WR might be somewhat possible, though the Titans aren't exactly known for having powerhouse WR's and so I don't know how much there would be to entice the 'Skins.

Who's responsible for the contract if the trade happens?
The team with the player :lmao:
I'm pretty sure steelwind is right that the guaranteed money counts against Washington. That's part of the reason there aren't a lot more trades in the NFL.
the big $$$ on this deal have been paid out already. The Titans would get him for a very reasonable price.
Plus it's an uncapped year, his entire signing bonus would hit the Redskin's cap this year but it would not matter.

I don't think this is a situation where the Redskins would be looking for much. I suspect a mid-level player (Lavelle Hawkins, William Hayes) and a 5th round pick that can move up to a 3rd would be enough.
