Titans Expected to sign Kerry Collins Pending Physical (1 Viewer)

The Titans are expected to bring Kerry Collins in for a visit.

Tennessee is expected to sign the former Raider pending he passes a physical. In late July, it was reported that Collins would be the team's starter if he were to sign with the club. Billy Volek has struggled in the preseason.

As Ive said for the last 2+ years, Volek is horrible, and is not a starter in the NFL.

Volek in the preseason so far:

-4 for 7 for 55 yards with no int's in preseason game 1

-6 for 9 for 70 yards and an int in preseason game 2

-14 for 22 for 141 yards with no int's in presesaon game 3

-So thus far in such a small sample size Volek as the starter is 24 for 38 which works out to be a 63% passing percentage in the preseason with 1 int.

The guy is not an all star but he will be good enough to be a stop gap until Young is ready to take over. The Titans are not bringing in Collins to start unless Volek is hurt or is struggling badly. They really are protecting Young who they know is no where near ready to start in the NFl if Volek is hurt. Therefore having a vet as the back up is never a bad thing.

Volek takes a lot of crap for never having been given the chance. We will see how well he does this season.

I'm curious how, if at all, what was reported in July affects what they'll do in late AugustI would guess either they didn't think he was worth it back then OR they've soured on Volek OR this reporter should stop adding BS to articles and just write what he hears in the press statements+conferences.Oh yeah and after midnight, english goes out the window

How many of those games have you watched?The stats don't look bad, but if you had watched the games, you'd see a QB who has no business starting in this league.
