Can't get a read on this game at all. Obviously, the Saints need to win. But can they?
I'll guess 23-13, New Orleans.

I noticed your location in your profile, and I'm wondering if your view is wishful thinking or your honest assessment.People are still thinking this Saints team is the one of last year. It isn't. The saints have pulled a Jones-Drew and lost the lightning in the bottle.
From 1978-2005, 257 teams won 10 games or more in a season. Thirty-one of those teams started off 0-2 the next year. Three more -- the Jets, Eagles and Saints -- did it again in '06-'07. Only one of those 257 teams had a points differential after two games worse than the Saints' current one of -48. That team won its third game pretty handily, after losing its opener on the road against the SB champs and losing in week two at home against a weak division rival. The team would rebound after the two games and play like it did in the prior season. So yeah, there's some hope for the 'Aints. Three other teams tied for the second worst +/- differential: the '05-'06 Bucs (bad), the '02-'03 Eagles (good) and the '92-'93 Steelers (good). The latter two teams would come back to make the playoffs. So it seems an 0-2 start, even one where the team looks absolutely HORRIBLE, is hardly a death knell for a former playoff team. Can't get a read on this game at all. Obviously, the Saints need to win. I'm guessing that just about every opponent goes into games with Tennessee with some form of a spy, thinking "Vince Young isn't going to beat us with his legs"... but that doesn't always work out. The guy is so gifted when he decides to get outta dodge. Will the Saints use a safety as a spy like they did against Mike Vick last season? It worked very well against Vick last year. Vince is a different type of runner than Vick, but the spy tactic really caused problems. If the Saints use the same type of spy on defense I wonder if the Titans will be ready for it.
Interesting.I want to put you and SSOG in a "BOOK OF STATS" steel cage death match. From 1978-2005, 257 teams won 10 games or more in a season. Thirty-one of those teams started off 0-2 the next year. Bingo. Anyone see Bob Sanders spy Vince last week? He juked Bob Sanders and flat out left him.I'm guessing that just about every opponent goes into games with Tennessee with some form of a spy, thinking "Vince Young isn't going to beat us with his legs"... but that doesn't always work out. Yeah I'm sure teams are well aware of Vince's legs, but if you are familiar with last years game against the Falcons, it was a Monday Nighter early in the season, you will know what I'm talking about. It was a little wrinkle that brought the FS up and it seemed to catch Vick off guard because he wasn't able to shake it. You can spy Vick and Vince all you want, but if the guy you do it with can't tackle him it's not going to work. For some reason the Saints just seemed to be able to cut down his angles perfectly, so they were teaching something correctly. I am not totally sure, I think that it was Bullocks who spied him. Can anyone recall exactly who it was? It was just another example of the innovation the Saints used last year, so I'm wondering if they will still be innovative like that or what.I didn't see the Titans/Colts game last week, but I did see Sanders make two big tackles on Vince in the highlights.RAIDERNATION said:I'm guessing that just about every opponent goes into games with Tennessee with some form of a spy, thinking "Vince Young isn't going to beat us with his legs"... but that doesn't always work out. Dirty smashmouth football... that sounds like the Tennessee Tyrants to me. Fat Albert said in the preseason that that's what they wanted to bring back and they got the type of nastiness and talent to do it.well i am a homer, and I honestly think Titans win. The Defense is back folks. I am telling you, this team looks just like the one that went to superbowl. Dirty smashmouth football, alot of rushing. Alot of defense. A team everyone underestimates. It is going to be a good game. I will be surprised if Bush and Brees make it out healthy.
