An arrest warrant has been issued for ex-Lions WR Titus Young after he missed a court appearance on Tuesday.
Sad. Young has been missing court appearances all summer, but the judge had allowed it because Young was receiving some sort of treatment. However, the judge mandated that Young show up Tuesday, and he didn't. Young is now headed to jail unless the sides can reach some sort of an agreement. Clearly not well, Young could be allowed to report to a medical facility.

I didn't like this judge's change of mindset. It was grrr but OK for this to be pushed off because he's seeking treatment in some facility. Suddenly she says enough's enough, get here now.

He's nearly done, why can't it be after he's done? He's clearly not going anywhere.

I understand the reason is likely because the preliminary stuff revealed he is very likely guilty and thus a criminal so why are they giving a criminal all this leeway. Still, he's close to being done and it seemed like everyone in the free world knew the guy needed mental help, so what's a few weeks.

Just stinks how this is turning out, not sure anyone is so very wrong here-judge probably has to move forward, good of him to seek help.

Titus Young - WR - Free Agent

TMZ reports the person free agent WR Titus Young is accused of attacking earlier this month was his own attorney.

The attack reportedly took place at a "medical treatment center" in Los Angeles. Per TMZ, Young is also accused of attacking four other people in the past two months, all at the same facility. Young's mental health appears to have deteriorated to a dangerous state. He could be more likely to end up in a treatment facility than jail.

I feel sorry for this kid. You can call him a loser but frankly his behavior seems out of his control and very likely has schizophrenia.

I hate playing armchair psychologist, but from everything reported and family interviews, it's clear he has severe issues.

I really liked this guy coming into the league. I had a hunch he would be real good. I missed that one narrowly.
