TO late gets into heated discussion with Coach (1 Viewer)

John Clayton, on ESPN Radio yesterday, said that Jerry Jones would side with OWENS in a "it's him or me" scenario, rather than the Tuna.
OMG, if that were to happen, all hell would break loose.
I guess Parcells really didn't shop for those particular groceries. Of course, I doubt he would have bought groceries that would have been that unsafe for consumption in the first place.

Most of this melodrama disgusts me as a Cowboy fan who protested TO from day one, but if Jones chose TO over Parcells, now THAT would be crazy, and I would finally wise up and find a new team.
What if Parcells were to quit not be fired, but quit? I'm sure if he was fired, Dallas would play it off like he quit anyway. What a mess.
We would know if Parcells were fired vs. quit because the Cowboys would owe him more money if he was fired and would need to resolve that issue.

Lots of speculation and very little fact as asual in debates about T.O.
 T.O. getting into a yelling match with his coach isn't a fact?T.O. blabbing to reporters about info isn't a fact?T.O. telling the reporters that he no longer trusts his position coach and he's no longer going to be friendly with him isn't a fact? You've GOT to be kidding me.

As far as I can tell T.O. said nothing until the story was leaked to the media. Then he said he relied on the fact that there was an agreement that what ever is said behind closed doors would stay there.I don't see what T.O. has done wrong here...does anyone know what was said by Haley to T.O.? Maybe it was totally inappropriate. The team didn't fine or bench him so the inferrence I draw is that the coach didn't think it was a big deal. We'll see...but all this "blow up in Dallas" talk is pure b.s. and conjecture; par for the course in T.O.'s world.

I just want to clarify, I was not defending TO, I think everything he gets, he deserves.

I also think that Jerry Jones is getting what he deserves by taking on a known team wrecker.

From KFFL :

Cowboys | Owens no longer dealing with Haley on a personal level

Fri, 13 Oct 2006 17:38:45 -0700

Owens was late to practice Wednesday, Oct. 11 and got into a shouting match with Haley. Owens will talk to Haley about football, but not about anything lese. "Other than him being my coach and me being respectful and him being respectful to me as a player, outside of that, there will be nothing else. No other dialogue. There will be no more friendly nothing because I don't trust anybody like that."
So now he is not talking to the receivers coach, other than football. There is no doubt every single move he makes is criticized, but this can't be good for the team, whether it is his fault or not.
Isn't this EXACTLY how he got himself suspebded for conduct detrimental when he was in Philly.Refused to talk to coaches about anything other than football?

Glad to see TO learned his lesson.

F'in jerkwad = TO.

Drew Rosenhaus should teach T.O. the phrase "no comment".

A world that he has had a major hand in creating. Lets not forget that. He has used the media and it seems a bit shortsighted to blame them for giving him what he desparately pines for; attention.

CBS showed T.O. and coordinator Haley hugging after his first TD. It looked half sincere on T.O.'s part, but it's a start for them to make amends. A second great TD catch just happened while I was posting this.

As I said in the game thread, this drama is overrated. If things are going well, he'll be one of the contributing factors. If things are going poorly, he'll be one of the contributing factors. Athletes & coaches don't have to like each other. Look at the Oakland A's dyansty in the 70's.
