People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring. ~Rogers Hornsby

With those who don't give a damn about baseball, I can only sympathize. I do not resent them. I am even willing to concede that many of them are physically clean, good to their mothers and in favor of world peace. But while the game is on, I can't think of anything to say to them. ~Art Hill

Last night I went for a walk with my two year old son around the neighborhood. The weather wasn't too bad and he hadn't been outside all day.

I was talking to him about how winter was almost over and soon all of the leaves would come back and the snow would melt and the grass would turn green again.

He then looked at me with a huge smile and said, "We play baseball on grass!", almost immediately followed by him shouting "GO TIGERS!".

I love my kids!
