A little fun in the Pool today, seeing as how it's a National Holiday (or should be)...

Thank God the NFL is back.

Our draft starts an hour or two before the game starts. Hope to have it finished up before the game starts so I can pay attention. :D

 
All I can say is, I am a huge University of Tennessee fan, and by proxy a huge Peyton Manning fan. I've wanted him on my fantasy team in my main local league since he was drafted in '98, but for whatever reason I have never had him on my team..... until this year! :(

Man, is it going to be fun having him help me kick ###, instead of having him kick MY ### every year. :D

Depends on how things go. I'll start out with beer, but if it goes badly I'm switching to gin. If it's really bad, I'm heading for the tequila. I expect it to remain a beer night, though.

Praising Jesus that it's football season again--this really is the best time of the year! Oh, and watching my fantasy score, since I'll have Marvin Harrison playing.

:goodposting: Perhaps doing a pentathalon before the game, consisting of Golden Tee, Silver Strike Bowling, darts, Bags, and trivia. All before the game starts. Im so excited I could piss myself right now.

2. Where and with who? At home with my fiance/Monday night: fiance, neighbors, & a few friends

3. What will you be eating? Pizza and wings/Monday night: pulled pork BBQ, nachos, Bengals cookies

4. What will you be drinking? Not sure yet/Monday night: Beer, soda, maybe some shots for every TD

5. Anything else? (Poker, draft, etc.) I will be working on wedding invitations but mostly focusing on football!

Monday night: I will be glued to the TV but halftime we will be playing Cornhole on my new Bengals set!

Today, NFL day 1, everyone's team is a Superbowl contender...whether they truly are or not. Everyone's fantasy team is the league's best. There are no doormats...no cellar dwellars. There are no disspointments. No underachievers. No wrong opinions or reasons for dismay. Lions fans are every bit as proud as Colts fans. Troy Smith is a star as much as Brady Quinn. Today is truly the best day of the NFL season...for so many reasons, the least of which is that I'll take the day off, watch NFL network most of the day, and pull for 2 teams I care little about....because football is America's game and every contest is one of life's small, invaluable gifts.

Good luck to everyone's favorite squads. Enjoy the day, and hope its a great season.

Dodging sand, mortars and other really not nice things.....

Wait....There's a football game on tonight? Who's playing?!

1. ABSOLUTELY.

2. At home in front of my brand new 46" LCD. Some buddies might come over.

3. Pizza, beef jerky.... Maybe some cheese sticks - You know the healthy stuff.

2. Just me, in my command center with two computers, four monitors, and three TVs. NFL opening night/day is a private matter. ;)

3. I have been cutting back lately, but I believe this calls for PIZZA!! Perhaps some nachoids from the local joint too.

4. Probably just some solid non-alky stuff.

5. I have to pack for a weekend trip; this will be accomplished during halftime, commercials, and Maddenisms.

I'll be at Church this evening which starts @ 7:00pm, but I am using my DVR to record the game, which I will be watching by myself, while I eat fast food and drink bottled water. (I go to church every Thursday night and the last thing I need to do is get God mad at my Fantasy Football team.)
