Todd Heap (1 Viewer)

McNair looked awful and ignored Heap last week. I don't see how his performance would suffer with Boller at the helm.

Heap had his best year ever... during Bollers only full season as starter.

75 - 855 - 7

4.7....... catches per

53.5..... yards per

0.437... TDs per

Baltimore Homer here if Boller starts Dwilliams stock should go really high. He is by far the best WR on the team They just have to feature him and I believe he love Boller I believe they have a connection brewing

Notice that Boller looked to Heap twice in the endzone at the end of this past Monday Night game. The 1st was was a legitimate TD but was called back due to a phantom offensive pass interference call. The 2nd time Heap should have caught it, but failed to. The point is the Boller still loves Heap.

Jeez, the second was a strike that clubbed Heap right between the "8" and the "6". Obviously, being ignored by McNair made him a little rusty.

I'd upgrade Williams, a healthy Clayton, and Heap with Boller.

I think McNair's skills have eroded as swiftly as Mark Brunell's did and he's holding the entire offense back.

Not counting games when Boller came in for a series or two, here's the stat line for Heap with Boller:

23 games, 108 receptions, 1306 yards, 11 TD

That wourks out to 4.7 receptions, 57 yards, 0.48 TD per game.

In standard scoring leagues, that translates to 8.6 ppg or 137 fantasy points (0 PPR) and 212 fantasy points (1 PPR) for a 16 game season.

Heap has consistently put up solid numbers through 6 different starting quarterbacks. I think he'll be just fine with Boller at the helm.

Honestly, I am more concerned with the loss of Ogden (and the extra blocking duties that Heap may be asked to assume) than I am with who is the QB.

This is exactly what I am thinking as well. With Ogden out, Heap will be kept in more to help with pass blocking just like Monday night against the Bengals. I have Heap on my team and I will be benching him until Ogden gets healthy.

I would think that Heap is too valuable in the passing game to take him away from it, particularly with Clayton hurting. Perhaps they'll run more 2 TE sets?

Heap is a solid downfield threat, and Boller has a much better arm than McNair. I'd say that makes Boller a positive for Heap.

Did you guys see the Jet's pass rush (or lack thereof) last week? Why would Heap need to stay in the block?
