This could be the funniest ex-Eagle signing since Rich Kotite coached the Jets.
Wow, Todd Pinkston Signed
Okay, some will look at this as a move of utter desperation, and I can't say I would argue with them. Skins sign Todd Pinkston, who most assumed was out of football for good after no one picked him up last season (cut by Eagles and then also Vikings after brief stint in Minn.). Todd took a lot of abuse for having "alligator arms" and his run ins with The Grim Reaper were well documented.
Some people would say the Redskins have no legit No. 2 WR - again, no argument here - and with the wide receiver out with shin splints (not sure if he'll be practicing today or not) and no one not named Moss showing much Saturday, it can't hurt to look at other people.
This is now the second vet. WR the Skins have brought in in the last few weeks - Corey Bradford - is the other, and even they seem to be admitting that despite all the millions in signing bonus $ spent at this position, a need exists. Still, I kinda thought Pinkston was done.
The Skins also signed DT Matthias Askew - a 4th round pick by the Bengals in 2004 who was waived last year - and cut WR Kyle Brown and DT Vaka Manupuna.
