OK, humor me. What the hell is a WONK?

He's gotten just unreal help from relief guys and the inherited runners he left behind. I have no idea how much this is holding his ERA down, but it has to be playing a role. His Whip to ERA is also pretty wonky. There has to be some saber-math guys that can tear his season apart.

Plus, he got overworked last year and really faded late in the season. Sell for a box of rocks if you can.

Mike Maddux might be the most underrated pitching coach in the game right now. He was able to squeeze decent production from crap in Milwaukee in his time there, and the staff imploded when he left. A lot of credit has gone to Nolan Ryan's offseason workout programs he put in a yer or two ago, but I think the real key here is Maddux.
