Tommy Mellott signed by the Saints.

It just seems to me with the QB problems, Hill’s age & injury issues, the fans’ love for the role, the WR issues, Moore’s history… maybe just maybe Mellott sees the field. The Dome could use the excitement.

I was excited when the Raiders drafted him. Was underwhelmed when they didn't even try to sign him to the Practice Squad. Hopefully the Saints see something in him and give him a real shot. Kid's an athlete.

It’s a lark and who knows what he’ll be able to do on a terrible Saints team. He runs a 4.39 and it’s one roster spot that is otherwise occupied by a mediocre vet I can’t use in a ten-team league (meaning your starters need to be elite). It serves no purpose to let that spot go to anybody but a guy like Tommy, actually.
