Tony Romo and Scott Linehan (1 Viewer)

What is your opinion of Tony Romo this year, now that he's got Scott Linehan running the offense? Romo is consistently a top 10 FF QB. Could he jump to top 5 this year?

If your taking romo as your starter I think that is a fine decision. I think dez will be fantasy #1 WR this year, but I've been wrong before my friend

Taking everything into consideration(horrible defense, outstanding Oline, schedule, etc.), I actually decided to rank him as #2 QB(only behind Peyton).

Call me crazy...

I don't understand the hate on Romo, as a actual game closing qb he chokes sometimes. I believe that the hate and scrutiny he receives from espn and all the other news sites really drives down his fantasy value. I got him in the 13th round the other day to backup foles. I predict Romo if healthy will be top 5. With witten, williams, dez, murray, dunbar, and Beasley. Pair that with like above a top 3 offensive line. Gets to play the next least 6 games. Linehan famous for having great passing offense. There schedule from week 12 (after there late bye in week 11) on looks tasty as ever

Looks like a lot of shootouts to me. I'm loving owning dez and Romo over that schedule as long as I'm a playoff contender!

agree completely. He has been my main target this year in all leagues and able to get him fairly late after loading up all other positions. All the factors are in place for a career year. Man, oh, man, that defense, he could lead the league in pass attempts.

I do routinely grab another QB in the next 2 rounds for insurance and able to get a solid guy there as well in case Romo's back gives out.

I am down on Dallas. they have one of the most difficult 1st half schedules and the defense will be terrible. Jason Garrett will be the first coach to go in my opinion. Tony Romo coming off surgery and new offensive coordinator. I like other guys.

you think the terrible defense is a BAD thing for Romo's fantasy numbers? I see it as just the opposite. I love having QB's, WR's, and receiving backs on teams with horrible defenses. Garbage time production counts the same in fantasy.

Look at RG3 last season. He was generally a disappointment but not nearly as bad (fantasy #'s) as the perception. The reason being, he chucked it around all 4th quarter because their defense was so poor.

I agree with you but just because they'll be behind in games doesn't mean they'll automatically score points. Look at the defenses they will be facing for those first few months. If they're always behind that will make them more one dimensional. I'm not saying the offense will be terrible i just don't see him as a top guy.

Easily could post 4,500+/35+TDs, what else do you want to know/hear? Sure he could miss some time so find a back up. As the 10-12th QB off the board or even if you need to grab him 7th, 8th, 9th, whatever just pick him up as he allows you to butcher thru the RB and WR spots when the rounds are juicy.

Romo/Wilson

Romo/Big Ben

Romo/Cutler

Romo/just about anything is gonna work and you will get at least 10-11 quality starts from Romo. Forget the OL, RB, stud WR, nice TE, this team is a wreck on defense. They couldn't stop a parked car right now. This team might need to score 35-40 a weeks just to compete. They will be playing a lot from behind unless the offense can dictate long drives. We'll see and that might be part of the plan but this defense reeks to holy hell and it has holes the size of city buses on it right now with mounting injuries and veteran cuts they made in the off season.

Grab me a pair of boots and a ten gallon hat because I need me a QB to rack me some stats.
