Tony Romo (1 Viewer)

When Romo is on he is ridiculous. The issue is some of his bad games make him look like Rex Grossman. Is Romo going to be a top 5 QB for years to come or is there too much hype around him. I want to believe but hate that the past two Decembers have been so bad for him.

The jury is out on Romo, this is a big playoff for him.

he's got a lively, accurate arm but an ugly delivery. he seems to display good decision-making by in large.
I am a Bears fan and agree with you. He has an amazing sense when the pass rush is around him and steps away from it. I just worry because his bad games are really bad. His passer rating is either amazing or terrible.

Are you serious? The best you can do is yawn? Why even bother? I think the question and topic is very relevant. All you can do is try to add to your post numbers with this weak attempt?
Just growin weary of all the Romo/Cowboy threads..Is there any reason why you can't post this in one of the other 200 threads currently active?
I did a search for a Romo thread and didn't find anything that matched this thread. There are a lot of posts on this website. If you are tired of a topic or two you don't have to click on them. It is pretty simple to only pick the ones you have real input on. I have Romo in a dynast league. I put his end to last year down as a blip on the radar until this December. He had a ridiculous sense when it came to the blitz early in the year. This December has been pretty bad though. He seems to have lost his confidence. He has a lot more great games than Grossman does but his bad games look too much like bad-Rex.

Last December, was he not dating Carrie Underwood? And this December i know hes been dating Jessica Simpson.

He's only started less than two seasons. I think he is better than most QBs at this stage of his career. I am not worried about him regressing whatsoever.

I definitely wouldn't call him Rex Grossman, but I wouldn't feel too sure about drafting him and expecting a repeat of his 2007 numbers.

Or bust?

God that's rich.

 :ninja:  :lmao:

Became the starter, has had great success, just got a 67M deal, bust? Huh?

He's a legit QB. Try watching him play.

However I do think he's overhyped. He walked into a dream situation. TO/Glenn/Witten/Barber/JJ + Oline. It's an explosive offense.

But he's still a pretty good QB. I'd be happy to have him.

As a fantasy football QB, Romo is most certainly in the top 5. Since taking over as a full time starter his yardage and TD numbers are as good as anyone not named Brady or Manning. His sample size of starts is at about 25, which I think, validates his status as an excellent fantasy QB.

As a "real nfl" QB, the jury is still somewhat out. He has yet to win a playoff game. If the Cowboys flame out against the Giants after winning 13 games, then he has some serious questions to answer, especially because the Cowboy offense has been downright mediocre over the past month. Yes, TO's injury is an issue, but at the end of the day, it's the QB that gets too much credit or too much blame for a team's overall success. Compunded with all the Jessica Simpson vacation nonsense, a Cowboy loss in round 1 will have the buzzards circling.

Romo has put up near historic numbers in his first two seasons under center. Don't focus on the TD passes but the underlying passing metrics that speak to skill. His yards per attempt has, in both years, been among the league's best. He's shown himself to be a high percentage passer. And, watching him play, you see he's got an innate ability to sense pass pressure and make plays comfortably out of the pocket.

I can't say whether he'll ever win a Super Bowl or be a HOF-caliber passer; but I can say with absolute certainty that he's a legitimate Pro Bowl caliber QB.

I'm not sold on "Real Deal".... but he is no way a Bust.

Hes a good QB, in a period of football when there only a Few avg QBs... hes very good compared to the QBs around him.

Since Romo was so bad this year I'll call him a bust.
:lmao: Seriously though, I don't get this thread. So he had some bad games. Every QB has bad games. Does Peyton's 4 INT (or was it 5?) game this year make him a bust? C'mon man, judge the body of this guy's work. I don't see how you could do that and come anywhere near the conclusion that Romo is a bust.

If he can keep TO, Glenn (yes, I know he didn't play this year), Crayton, MB3, Witten, and a good OL into next year, I'll have no problem drafting him as the #3 QB off the board (assuming value). He is certainly not a bust.
