Top 10 KR/PR IDP's looking at 2013 (1 Viewer)

He's been returning some kickoffs here and there every week. Doesn't really mean Wilson lost the job, it could just mean they don't want to rush Wilson into so many roles yet. He had 4 tackles, 1 PD, and a sack yesterday, a pretty decent stat line regardless of doing KO returns or not. I'm just going to start him every week and when he finally gets to do returns, it'll be a bonus.

Looks like Chris Carr is the leading DB return yardage man, 373 yards.
didn't he just get fired?
Ya I guess Webb is returning kick offs now, he had 95 yards last game, Carr had 44. How did Webb look? May add him.
The stat line I read was Carr with two kick returns and Webb with only one (although that one was for 43 yards). Carr also returned all punts and had three tackles in the game vs. Baltimore. If Carr plays enough snaps on defense to get three tackles a week and returns kicks he'd be pretty valuable in my league. But I don't think he can be relied on to get the defensive snaps on a regular basis and who knows how kick return duties will play out with the emergence of Webb.Does anybody out there know more about this situation?

ummmm.....ps

I hope I never hear chris carr's name again.

Is Daniel Manning still the Kick Returner for the Bears?
I think the Bears gave that job to Johnny Knox. Manning had 1 kickoff return in week 4; none in weeks 2-3.. but Knox has been doing pretty much all the kickoff returns since week 2. Manning doesn't handle any punt returns either.

Wilson got a KR today but so did the other guys. He looked like he was hurting in one play but seemed fine. They could be easing him in which would be a great thing

Lardarious Webb had 7 kick off returns today for 165 yards and the way the rest of the Ravens cornerbacks are playing I do not see why Webb can't get more snaps on defense. That Baltimore Defense is in rough shape, Webb can't be any worse. Anyways, 165 return yards is worth alot in my league. Any insight on the rookie Lardarious Webb CB Baltimore?

Jaguars KR/DB Brian Witherspoon left Sunday's game with a hamstring injury and did not return.

Coach Jack Del Rio said that Witherspoon "would be a question mark coming out of the bye," but added that "it's just too early to tell."

Dwight Lowery got the only KR in the game after Leon Washington went down. He also had 4 solo tackles.
:loco: What's his status? I don't follow the Jets so I don't know much other than the NFL.com depth chart has him listed as Revis's backup. Is he moving into a starting spot on D or getting to play more snaps? If so, he could be a valuable pickup with the kick returns added in.

The Jets just signed Justin Miller so I would look at him first.

Any possibility he gets much PT on defense? Or will he mainly serve as a KR? I realize I have a lot of questions, but I know how important it is in KR/IDP leagues to find the "next Josh Wilson"!!!

lowery has been filling in for lito sheppard at corner while lito's been injured.

I kind of doubt you'll be seeing justin miller outside of special teams, but I'm not an authority on the jets, or anything like that.

Justin Miller was signed by the Jets to return Kicks.

Should have read the post 2 above this one.

Any news from Jets homers regarding Lowery vs. Miller returning kickoffs this week or in the future?
This is pure speculation on my part, but I don't think they would sign Justin Miller unless they meant for him to get most if not all the KR duties...I don't think the Jets signed him to get significant PT as an actual defender

I have Ellis Hobbs, Justin Miller and Josh Wilson..looking for advice on who to start...I'm leaning towards starting justin miller as I believe he's starting...but not sure who I should start between Hobbs and Wilson...I'm not sure of their respective roles going forward...Wilson doesn't appear to be fully involved in kr yet...but this could be the week for that...some people have mentioned that Rankin could do kr's...pls let me know what thoughts you have...thanks

Rookie DB Lardarius Webb has already taken the KR job from Chris Carr in Baltimore.

Now, per Yahoo Sports, Webb may take the nickel back and PR duties from him as well.

Lardarius Webb's statline looks good today.

Does anyone know roughly what % of downs he played on defense? Was he strictly the nickel corner? Did he play all or almost all the nickel snaps?

Just read this on Rotoworld:

Antwaan Randle El has lost his punt return job to CB DeAngelo Hall.

Randle El, who also lost his receiver job in camp, was averaging just 5.2 yards per return with 11 fair catches and two fumbles. The 30-year-old has declined sharply in the past few years and may be an offseason casualty.

Anyone know if Hall will continue to be in on every defensive play still?

http://weblogs.baltimoresun.com/sports/rav...ver_sunday.html

Harbaugh was also asked Monday about the possibility of having rookie Lardarius Webb, who returned a kick 95 yards for a touchdown Sunday, also return punts.

"Yeah, but we have a good punt returner in Chris Carr," Harbaugh said. "You will see Lardarius Webb on punt returns at some point, and you’ll see Chris Carr back on kickoff returns at some point, too, I’m sure. We have been gifted here with some guys that can return kicks and punts."

Dang it. It sounds like this is a "CB/KR-BC". Too bad.

josh wilson = 0 kr

d manning = 2 kr

I was looking a little while ago, so that's just from memory.

edit: and I think hobbs missed the end of that game w/some kind of neck injury.

Ledarious Webb had 85 return yards and 7 solo tackles yesterday! In my return yardage league he is a beast!!!
yeah, he replaced fabian washington about a third of the way into the game, getting 53 snaps --- that's pretty much starter numbers.prior to that he was swapping nickel with carr.I think washington had some kind of thigh contusion, so he might be right back in his regular role this week --- monitor closely......or monitor this thread.........they get indy, pit, and gb weeks 11-13, so there could be some good opps coming up for him even if washington's back.

Jim Leonhard looks to be out for a bit (or at least off of PR dutie):

"New York Jets safety Jim Leonhard is having surgery on his broken right thumb, and coach Rex Ryan is uncertain how long he might be sidelined.

Ryan said Leonhard is having surgery Monday, adding "that doesn't sound good to me." He is unsure of the nature of the procedure, or whether Leonhard would be sidelined this weekend or longer.

Leonhard was injured early in the first quarter on Maurice Jones-Drew's 33-yard touchdown run in the Jets' 24-22 loss to Jacksonville on Sunday.

Leonhard left the field and went into the locker room to have the thumb placed in a cast. He came back into the game on defense, but wasn't able to field punts as he normally does."

webb might be a good play this week, although the last time I pimped somebody it was carr and he had, like, a quarter of a point.

keep an eye on the philly returners (harris?), and the jets (lowery?).
