I think Tamme is at least top 5 going forward. He will be much more consistent than most of those guys based on Manning.

That's the biggest thing about making one of these lists for TEs this year. There just aren't a lot of great ones. Gates and Tamme are the only ones I see staying decently consistent each week with Gates obviously having the ability to blow up.

Cowboys will have to throw the pill as much as the Colts. Witten will be just as consistent.

I like Aaron Hernandez the rest of the season, Gronkowski is playing his way out of the lineup in NE.

I would also put Tamme in the 4 spot and knock everyone else down- Since Holmes has been back Keller has been nothing like he was to start the season... that is a trend likely to continue...

also watch Hernandez to see if they start going to him more in the red zone after Gronkowski's error filled game last weekend...

Tweeked version. Myself with VD and Tamme I'm going to rack my brains out each week who to start. I'm alittle concerned about VD at #2 with Troy Smith in.

10a. Justin Keller

I think Joel Dreesen has a chance to crack the top 10 if Daniels and Johnson remain injured.

I can't see a top ten without Cooley. Seems he has been forgotten after the bye week.

1 - Gates

2 - Tamme

3 - Davis

4 - Witten

5 - Z. Miller

6 - Cooley

7 - Hernandez

8 - Gonzalez

9 - Pettigrew

10 - Keller

To me its Gates, Tamme then a huge dropoff.

1. Tamme is catching passes from Peyton Manning.

2. Tamme has 26 targets in 2 games, from Peyton Manning.

3. The Colts weapons are seriously banged up, so much so that Tamme and Wayne are by far Mannings' most reliable targets.

4. The rest of the top TE options are catching passes from: Troy Smith, Jon Kitna, Jason Campbell, Mark Sanchez, David Garrard. Hernandez is the exception here, but he's just not involved in the offense as much as Tamme has been.

Tamme is a perfect storm of a talented injury replacement falling into a prime spot to produce.

Hernandez has been involved and solid all year. He finally scored 2 times this past weekend. I think he's going to score every other week or better down the stretch. I think he's #3 behind Gates and Tamme. Look at it this way....you can depend on him for 50 yards every week, worst case scenario.

I think that a lot of people are undervaluing Shiancoe. He was great before Moss got to Minny and he definitely showed up last weekend after he left. I think he'll be a great start for the rest of the season. He won't be top 5, but I can see him as somewhere between 6-8

No love for Tony Moeaki? His remaining schedule appears very TE favorable...

Week 10: @DEN

Week 11: ARI

Week 12: @SEA

Week 13: DEN

Week 14: @SD

Week 15: @STL

Week 16: TEN

Week 17: OAK

Any thoughts on Vernon Davis?

There are those of us who had not the wisdom to draft Gates nor to grab Tamme (grrr, so dumb now to wait, the Colts were on bye)...

... but maybe Davis can be had? Because he can score pretty high, and maybe is one of the few who can put up numbers to compare with Gates or Tamme in any one game.

Thoughts on Vern with Troy vs Alex Smithessess.....???

I don't think we've seen what Troy can do with Vernon yet but overall the offense was imrpoved with Troy in there?

Any injury concerns?

Picked him up and dropped Heath Miller. Was this a good move? I don't know what's up in Pittsburg maybe because one of their olinemen was put on IR but they use Heath to block way more than catch passes now. I need production out of the TE spot.
