For 3, those look and sound awesome, but something has always bugged me about those: where do you poop? I seriously doubt they have plumbing back to the shore. Is it like a porta pot out there? Does it go straight into the water that you swim in? What's the deal?

Depends on the resort, but most overwater bungalows are built along long decks connecting multiple individual bungalows. The plumbing runs under the wood decking.

Most people think of Bora Bora, Fiji or the Maldives when they think of those over-the-water huts. The prices + airfare to get there are outrageous. There is another, much more affordable option though. Punta Caracol in Boca Del Tores, Panama. Haven't been there yet, but it's a place Id like to go. I guess that puts it on my bucket list.

Bora Bora is on my list cuz I heard at certain times of the year, the manta rays will come near the surface below the rooms to feed on glowing plankton or something. Definitely want to see that.

Machu Picchu is awesome - hiking.

Be sure to visit Cervejeria del Valle Sagrado when you are around Cuzco. Best beer in Peru.
