Top 5 QBs for QB rating through first 4 weeks (1 Viewer)

If anyone predicted that it would be these 5 guys, then you need to start playing the lottery:

1) David Carr

2) Damon Huard

3) Donovan McNabb

4) Chad Pennington

5) Rex Grossman



The ONLY one on that list that I may have guessed would be in the top 5 is McNabb.

I wouldn't have guessed David Carr or Chad Pennington if I had to guess the top 5, but those are two QBs who I expected to significantly outperform their pre-season expectations. Carr is a talanted QB who got a new, better coach and a receiver upgrade, while Pennington is a known quality QB who was coming back healthy to a good receiving corps. So while I wouldn't have guessed them, I am not particularly surprised.

Rex Grossman, I'm surprised at. Huard is just an aberration.

Who'd you of thought it woudl be after only 4 weeks... it's a good point. And historically speaking a few of those guys will stay good all year.

Agreed. Normally this is the kind of stats you see in preseason because the better QBs are getting little playing time. After 4 games, this is just plain weird.
