Top 50 Players in the NFL (1 Viewer)

Mathis I can see, but Henderson... no. Walker isn't too high- the guy is the best red-zone WR this side of Larry Fitzgerald, and he was a stud last year on an offense where he was the first, second, and third option as everything else crumbled around him (despite being in his first year back from a major season-ending injury AND changing teams/learning a new offensive system). I also think that Harris, Newman, and Winslow are fine- Harris has been covered already (Chicago's defensive MVP last year, Urlacher-be-damned), Newman has already been covered (arguably the #2 CB in the NFL, and almost certainly in the top 5), and I have a soft spot for Winslow because he's the only "receiving threat" TE that is also a devastating blocker. His receiving game might still be behind Gates/Gonzo, but his blocking game is way ahead of either of theirs.
:lmao: Winslow isn't much better a blocker than Gonzalez and he's got a long way to go before he's ranked above him.Walker is too high, homer.

Winslow was a better blocker AS A ROOKIE than Gonzo has been at any point in his entire career.Oh dang, I'm sorry, I seem to have forgotten the ad hominem attack...Edit: If you'd prefer, I could provide some simple fact-based research to demonstrate that Walker is, in fact, the best red-zone WR in the entire league outside of Larry Fitzgerald... or if you'd rather, I can just call you names and pretend that your arguement doesn't mean anything, too. Your call.

You seemed to be able to pull an awful lot of qualitative information out of that two game (or was it 1.1?) sample size. Nice work!

I'd have Champ Bailey top 4, maybe even top 2. As a Jaguars homer I think Rashean Mathis and John Henderson belong on the list.Javon Walker and Andre Johnson seem too high.Tommie Harris, Terence Newman, Kellen Winslow are all a joke. Strahan over Umeniyora? Hm.
Tommie Harris is a joke?Question: Have you actually ever seen him play? And when I ask that, I don't mean if you've seen a Bears game that he played in. I'm asking whether you actually paid any attention to him in particular. The guy's a beast. With Harris on the field it's like having an extra player. Harris has to be double teamed every single play. The Bears D went into the crapper after he was hurt last year. At the beginning of the season the Bears were giving up 10 points a game. After Mike Brown was hurt, they fell to 12 points a game. After Harris was hurt, they fell to 21 points a game.
I've definitely watched Harris - good player, pro-bowl player, but he's too high on this list. You really think Harris is worth 9 points a game, or perhaps are you letting statistics manipulate the discussion?
So asks the guy who called Harris a joke.

Yes, I mean in the two games he played his rookie year. Come on, do you mean to tell me that you couldn't tell the difference between a Dwayne Carswell and a Shannon Sharpe, or between a Daniel Graham and a Ben Watson, or between a Mark Bruehner or a Heath Miller in two games? You can see which TEs are willing and capable blockers pretty quickly. Tony Gonzalez blocks like he'd rather be running routes. Kellen Winslow blocks like you just insulted his mother. Most of blocking is simply the want-to, and Winslow has it (while Gonzo doesn't).It wasn't just based on Winslow as a rookie, though. It was also based on Winslow as a collegian, and Winslow in training camps, and I certainly didn't see anything from Winslow in his third season to convince me that my previously drawn conclusions were in any way incorrect.

No Roy Williams? The guy is one of the best WRs in the league and just entering his prime. This is nonsense.

Is Terrence Newman even a Top 50 Cornerback?
As a Dallas fan, I must agree. He is a good DB, but not great. However Ware will be a fixture on this list in the future. No TO was a bit of a surprise. I guess this isn't fantasy football though.
